Socks & Soles for Syrians

Socks & Soles for Syrians Socks & Soles for Syrians is a non-political, humanitarian campaign to collect socks and shoes for displaced Syrians.

Socks & Soles for Syrians

Please donate new and gently-used socks, shoes and boots. Providing footwear is a simple, yet significant step in easing the suffering of hundreds of thousands of desperate and displaced men, women and children both inside and outside the country. Through your office, school, neighbourhood, team or network of family and friends, please begin collecting and we’ll make su

re the socks and shoes get to those in need. For drop-off locations please leave a message on Facebook or send an email to socks&[email protected]. You can help with the process by ensuring that the shoes are wearable. Closed winter wear would be most useful but we will accept all shoes except for high heels. Collected in double black garbage bags would also be helpful for transport.

It's just "socks and shoes" until you watch something like this. Whatever you do to help, no matter what it is or how small the deed, you have to know that you are bringing comfort to someone. This is heart-wrenching.

A day doesn't go by that someone isn't doing something to help in this collection from helper Emily Pescador who meticulously checks over the shoes, to Brigitte Barghout who collects, stores and shares everything, to the drivers who pick up the bags, to our visiting relatives who pack and the steady stream of random teens coming and going carrying boxes and bags into the house. Everybody doing their part.❤️👞

The call for socks heard clear across the globe. 🌍 Thank you to Tracey and the Hagkull family for reaching out to their community in Victoria on Vancouver Island. The colossal effort by the Canadians yielded more than 1000 pairs of mostly brand new socks, hand delivered to Dubai in hockey bags. 🇨🇦

Thank you to the Hagkull's friends and classmates who donated, Blair for bringing them to Dubai and to the Al Hamer family for the special delivery.

Thanks, as always, to our friends at For Syria for today's pick up. Rest assured the socks are in good hands on the finally leg of the journey into Syria. Warm hearts ... warm feet for more than one-thousand people!

All those shoes need socks. They don't have to be new, just in good condition.
