The System in the United Arab Emirates.

The tax system in the United Arab Emirates – or rather, the lack of taxes paid – is one of the main draws to the region for many experts. There is no income tax paid by employees, and no system for corporate and inheritance taxes, among others.

Federal taxes in the UAE:

tax:
The UAE does not levy a tax on income. There is, therefore, no need for an income tax return in the UAE as there is no applicable individual tax within the country. The same also applies to freelancers and self-employed individuals who are residents of the Emirates.

Individual tax:
in the UAE who are GCC nationals (this includes the UAE) are subject to a social security regime of 17.5%. Those who are UAE nationals pay 5% (automatically deducted off their paycheck) and the employer pays the further 12.5%. Those who are residents of other GCC nations may be subject to different social security contributions relative to their home country, however.

tax:
Corporate taxes are only levied on oil companies and foreign banks in the UAE. However, there are over forty free zones in the country; businesses registered here are exempt from paying tax for a period that can be extended. There are no capital gains taxes unless the company is taxable under other income tax.

Double taxation:
The United Arab Emirates has 94 agreements in place with other countries to avoid double taxation on overseas investments.

Tourist facility tax:
Restaurants, hotels, and resorts (among others) may charge the following taxes:

10% on the room rate
Service charge (10%)
Municipality fee (10%)
City tax (6–10%)
Tourism fee (6%)

Property transfer tax:
A transfer charge applies to the transfer of property in the UAE. This varies by Emirate; it is 4% in Dubai, for example. Although the buyer and seller both share the burden of this, the buyer generally pays the transfer fee.

Inheritance tax:
There is no regime for inheritance tax. If there is no will, however, inheritance is dealt with according to Islamic Shari’a principles.

What is and Its Benefits?

Breakbulk ocean shipping is a common method used to successfully transport cargo or goods that cannot fit in standard-size shipping containers or cargo bins. Instead, cargo is transported in bags, boxes, crates, drums, barrels, other handling equipment, or is simply rolled, lifted, or pushed onto a ship or barge.

Examples of common breakbulk goods include reels and rolls, steel girders, structural steel, heavy or oversized goods, manufacturing equipment, construction equipment and vehicles. Though the containerization method is one of the more popular shipping methods, breakbulk is noticing an influx of interested shippers with oversized items.

According to Global Security, breakbulk and bulk is projected to make up half of all cargo (by volume) entering or leaving the U.S. and will make a large portion of the shipping market in 2020.

Major changes aren’t expected to come to breakbulk, therefore, the demands on port infrastructure, vessel safety, and law enforcement will remain stable.

The benefits of breakbulk shipping:

1. The ability to move oversized and overweight items that won’t fit in a container or cargo.
2. Reduction in time spent on deconstruction and reconstruction so that items are ready for dispatch.
3. Goods can enter smaller ports that typically would be unable to accommodate larger container ships or tankers.
4. Goods don’t have to be combined in a container; therefore, items can be shipped separately.

Why would you use a ?

There are many reasons businesses use cross trades – all of which can end up saving you money in the long-term. Here’s why exporters should use cross trades when selling their product overseas:

Accessing new markets – cross trades are a great way to break into a new market without having the extra expense of on-selling your product from your local country once it’s already been imported.

Lower supply chain costs – the supply chain is one area where so many costs can be streamlined. Cross trades completely remove the need to bring goods into the seller’s country, which means removing freight costs, duty costs and taxes associated with initially importing the product.

Less transit time – why export to your seller’s country if it’s halfway across the world? Cross trade shipments can reduce transit times, meaning greater cost savings for your business (imagine the time that can be saved by shipping from China to Japan, rather than from China to Australia and then on to Japan).

Efficiency in the supply chain – Cross trades bring production and stock closer to the final destination, as the whole supply chain becomes decentralized.

Using a local forwarder – Rather than trying to find someone overseas to manage a cross trade for you, you can deal with your local forwarder "Estelle Group" in your own time zone, who will manage the complexities of each country for you whilst you keep one local contact.

As per the history of in UAE, this prominent festival in the list of holidays marks the United Emirate’s formal act of nationalization from the British Protectorate Treaties because of the termination of a British treaty on 2nd of December in the year 1971. What followed was the eventual and final federal unification of seven sheikhdoms situated in the former Trucial States ever since 1971 and the modern-day country came into existence. Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan became the first president of the federation.
