Introduction:
Simply put, NYE Services LLC is a one-stop shop, a full-service company which extends the reach of its customers’ products, services and messages to all markets of Afghanistan through:
• Distribution
• Sales
• Niche marketing services
Founded in 2002, NYE Services LLC is an Afghan-owned, Afghan-operated company.
Our mission is to facilitate the flow of commerce and information so that Afghans can have the necessary tools to rebuild their lives after three decades of war and suffering, and the years of hope during the Transformation Decade and beyond.
For the owners of the company, delivery is defined as delivery of products, services, information and communication. Business is defined as a social responsibility to create sustainablity through creation of jobs and helping improve living standards.
Beside serving all Afghanistan’s 34 provinces through its 9 zonal offices, NYE Services is connecting rural communities with urban communities and the nation’s capital.
NYE is a trusted partner for NGOs, Afghanistan’s government, international diplomatic and military missions, and the private sector for distribution of printed materials and delivery of material goods. Our esteemed clients include ISAF, NATO, MSF, Care International, MTNA, and USAID.
With a reputation built on integrity, punctuality, and responsiveness, NYE Services LLC and the company’s courier division, NYE Express, have built a diverse portfolio of customers and expanded the services provided.
Because of NYE’s professionalism and customer-oriented positive work relationship, we have never lost a client to a competitor. This unblemished track record is further evident by the decade long renewal of our client’s contracts through 2017. Contracts have ended due only to the withdrawal of our partners from the region. The relationships we build through our business endure.
NYE is fully licensed and registered as a logistics company with AISA, Ministry of Telecommunication & Information Technology, NATO, ISAF, JCCS, SAM and U.S. Government agencies.

To accomplish its mission, the company's operational team turned their knowledge of Afghanistan's humanitarian distribution networks as used by aid workers during the years of war, into distribution networks dedicated to providing Western Governments and Afghan clients with the resources they need to conduct their operations.
In addition to sales and distribution, the company uses its in-depth knowledge of the nation's diverse cultures and communication traditions to effectively promote new ideas and concepts through a dynamic marketing division.

Company History
“Nye” is the Farsi word for a bamboo pen. In mystical circles, it is the first word that Persian poet Rumi penned in his book Mathnawi. We chose Nye as our company name to represent the spreading of knowledge, which we do through our work as a logistics company distributing print media throughout Afghanistan.
Early in 2002, Killid Weekly, the first magazine published by The Killid Group (www.tkg.af) was getting ready to go to print. However at the time, Afghanistan lacked a formal network to distribute print media.
The Killid Group (TKG) was targeting distribution to several Afghan cities for their weekly magazine, so we set to work establishing a logistical network to help them achieve their goals. Our first step was collaborating with existing shops to create selling points.
By the target print date of March 21, Nye had established 70 selling points from Kabul to Mazar e Sharif, covering a total of five provinces. By November, all provinces of Afghanistan were covered through our extensive logistical network. In 2003, Nye had 640 selling points in all 34 provinces, covering more than 120 districts.
NYE’s role in print media logistics expanded to include the distribution of several weekly and monthly publications, including the Mursal weekly, Kabul Weekly, Malalai and Zambail Gham Monthly Magazines, Women Weekly Mirror, Saba Magazine, Naunihalan Magazine, Serat Newspaper, and the ISAF/NATO bi-monthly newspaper. In the past 10 years, NYE has delivered the ISAF/NATO bi-monthly newspaper to 1700 distribution points in all 34 provinces of Afghanistan.
In 2006, the organization was registered with AISA under the name Nye Services LLC. In July of that year, the phone company MTN contracted Nye Services to distribute its SIM cards and build a client base for the company. This contract continues to this day with Nye Services managing a client base of near 1,000,000 subscribers.
That same year, NATO/ISAF entered into contract with the courier arm of Nye Services, Nye Express, to undertake the following tasks:
• Distribution: Nye delivers the ISAF fortnightly newspaper to 1700+ distribution points in all 34 provinces. This contract has been ongoing for 10 years.
Mailbox Management: Nye managed 49 mailboxes throughout Afghanistan’s larger centers, connecting newspaper readers to their editors. Nye Express collected reader’s letters and delivered them to the editorial team at the ISAF Headquarters until the program ended in 2011.
• Delivery of Humanitarian Supplies: From the ISAF warehouse, NYE was responsible for delivering humanitarian supplies to the 24 PRTs and ISAF based when required. These supplies include blankets, rubber boots, school kits, cooking kits, and shelter equipment. Although the scope of this project has been scaled back following the closure of the PRT’s, Nye continues this work on a smaller scale to meet the needs of ISAF.
• Unplanned Transportation Requests: Whenever ISAF has additional transportation requirements; Nye Express is contacted for the efficient and discreet handling of the loads.
Trusted by Afghanistan’s government, NYE is the official distributor for Afghanistan’s Ministry of Education, the National Draft Constitution, and the adopted National Constitution. They are also the favored provider for parcel delivery, transportation, and goods distribution for NGOs and UN Agencies such as USAID and TAF, as well as commercial organizations requiring logistical services.
NYE’s diverse portfolio includes the development of media products, and the distribution of general commodities both for the market and corporate business.
Headquartered in Kabul, NYE has full capacity operations in nine zones in Afghanistan: Kabul, Jalalabad, P**e Khumri, Mazar, Bamiyan, Ghazni, Kandahar, Heart, and Khoust. All the provinces are covered through these nine Zones.
