We’ve received many questions from travellers and clients about the new South African Traveller Declaration. As of 1 𝙅𝙪𝙡𝙮 2026, 𝙎𝙤𝙪𝙩𝙝 𝘼𝙛𝙧𝙞𝙘𝙖 requires travellers entering or leaving the country to complete a 𝙢𝙖𝙣𝙙𝙖𝙩𝙤𝙧𝙮 𝘾𝙪𝙨𝙩𝙤𝙢𝙨 𝙊𝙣𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙚 𝙏𝙧𝙖𝙫𝙚𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙧 𝘿𝙚𝙘𝙡𝙖𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣.
The declaration can be completed online 𝙗𝙚𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙚 reaching the port of 𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙧𝙮 𝙤𝙧 𝙚𝙭𝙞𝙩, helping travellers comply with Customs requirements, supporting smoother processing and allowing Customs to manage risks more efficiently.

🌍 𝙒𝙝𝙤 𝙣𝙚𝙚𝙙𝙨 𝙩𝙤 𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙥𝙡𝙚𝙩𝙚 𝙞𝙩?
The declaration applies to 𝙖𝙡𝙡 𝙩𝙧𝙖𝙫𝙚𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙧𝙨 entering or leaving South Africa by air, land, sea or rail — including:
• 🇿🇦 South African citizens
• 🏡 South African residents
• 🌍 International visitors

☝Parents, legal guardians, caretakers or another assisting person may complete the declaration on behalf of a minor or a traveller who is unable to complete it themselves.

A heartfelt thank you to Johan Smit for inviting us on such a wonderful educational tour through some of Cape Town and Stellenbosch’s most inspiring experiences.

From the captivating world of .Photography at the V&A Waterfront, to the inspiring MOCCA Museum of Contemporary Art Africa, and the beautiful surroundings of w**e estate in Stellenbosch, the day was a wonderful reminder of just how much this region has to offer.

with effect 𝟬𝟭 𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, all inbound foreign visitors entering Kenya are required to have a travel and health insurance with a minimum cover of 50.000 USD before allowed into the country!

The rule applies to:
✅ Tourists
✅ Business travellers
✅ International students
✅ Conference delegates
✅ Visitors coming to see family and friends
✅ Other foreign visitors staying temporarily in Kenya.

AND, another key change is that this mandatory insurance can only be provided by insurers licensed under Kenya's Insurance Act! BUT, so far nowhere to find who these licensed insurers are 🤷‍♀️🤦‍♀️
