Day 20 - On the road again…..

Katherine - Banka Banka

It must have been Cooler weather because Levi was up every 2 hours just looking for his dummy… not fun at all. When I woke mark had packed pretty much everything up, I dressed the kids and we set off on the road.

Well there isn’t really much to say about the drive to Banka Banka, my mum told me if you have nothing nice to say don’t say anything at all. So I’ll quickly outline the highlights of our drive.

Leaving at 9:30 It didn’t take long before everyone cottoned on this was a big day of driving, Levi passed out taking the much quieter route than his brother who started the concert way too early for my linking. Cry in shame by Johnny deisel & the injectors was Jacksons song of choice for the day and when I say day I mean the whole fuking day! 🖕🏼 my alter ego… cun+ face McCun+¥ arrived and she was in full swing, throwing daggers left right and centre, more aiming at Lilly once she started poking Levi and waking him up 100km’s out of Banka Banka. Marks headache grew the longer Jackson’s concert went and my attitude stayed, although he didn’t say anything to me as he would have lost his head! Whatever!

Once we arrived at Banka Banka Station though everyone was cool, calm and collected. No screaming from anyone, cun+ face McCun+¥ left and everything in the world was right again. Parked up next to Mark’s parents we settled in for the night, cooked some marshmallows and sent everyone to bed.

The moral of today is: don’t travel consecutive long days in the car with kids under 5. They have IPads but we don’t want them to be zombies when they get out so only limited time on them suckers. The saddest part is that isn’t even our biggest day of travel… we have another 3 to go with our biggest being Alice Springs to Coober Pedy so when that day comes please lord give us strength 🙏
