Last night we were proud to host our 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗜𝗻𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺 Presentation Evening, celebrating more than $𝟵𝟵,𝟳𝟬𝟬 being invested back into our local community through Community Bank Tooradin & Coastal Villages.

This investment is made possible thanks to our customers. Every person who chooses to bank with us helps create opportunities to support local clubs, schools and community organisations making a real difference.

It was also a pleasure to hear from Dave from SALT Sport and Life Training, who gave us an insight into the important work SALT does supporting sporting clubs and the positive impact they're making in communities across Australia.

The evening finished with a special announcement, with Community Bank Tooradin & Coastal Villages confirming its support towards the purchase of a new bus for Coastal Villages Community Buses. This investment will help keep people connected and ensure the organisation can continue providing an invaluable service to the local community for years to come.

Tonight, The Bendigo Bank Community Foundation the philanthropic arm of Bendigo Bank with the support of Bendigo Bank Pearcedale & Tooradin presented to 23 local Clubs & Community lead volunteer groups with sponsorship & or grant, reinvestment.

We are all volunteers building stronger & resilient communities. The injection of grant and sponsorship monies makes it possible to purchase a new bus for Coastal Villages Community Buses Inc.

A special thank you to Kylie Lee Bendigo Bank Branch Manager of Pearcedale for your ongoing support over the past 18 years and welcome Buwatt Laa - Branch Manager Tooradin. It was a privilege to have past President Neil Toyne & Secretary Jennie Toyne accept the grant with new President Chris Hayes & Secretary Naomi Pedler. It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of our dear friend and former Treasurer, Mary Crynes, who passed away on Wednesday, 1st July.

For 18 years (2007–2025), Mary served as Treasurer of Coastal Villages Community Buses Inc. with unwavering dedication, integrity and kindness. Her tireless commitment to our organisation helped shape Coastal Villages Buses into the community service it is today. In recognition of her extraordinary contribution, one of our community buses was proudly named "Mary" upon her retirement—a fitting tribute to someone who gave so much of herself to others.

Mary's commitment to her community extended far beyond Coastal Villages Buses. She also devoted many years as Treasurer of the Blind Bight Community Centre and the Koo Wee Rup Bowls Club, generously sharing her time, knowledge and expertise to support those around her.

Mary was a truly selfless, community-minded person whose warmth, quiet strength and generosity left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know and work alongside her. She was respected, admired and loved by so many, and her absence will be deeply felt throughout our community.

On behalf of everyone at Coastal Villages Community Buses past and present, we extend our heartfelt condolences to George and the entire family during this incredibly difficult time.

Thank you, Mary, for your years of service, friendship and the legacy you leave behind. Your dedication to our community will never be forgotten.

Mary's Funeral will be held at Bunurong Memorial Park in the Cumulus Chapel on Thursday 9th July at 11.30AM.

🌿🪚 Community Skills in Action! 🪚
This weekend, as part of the Coastal Villages program, a group of nine local residents participated in a Chainsaw Safety & Operations Course, an initiative proudly supported by and delivered by .
Throughout the course, participants gained valuable knowledge and hands-on experience, learning how to operate chainsaws safely, effectively, and with confidence. From essential safety procedures to practical cutting techniques, it was a fantastic opportunity to develop new skills in a supportive environment.
Coastal Villages Community Buses was pleased to provide transport for participants to Dallas Brooks Scout Park, ensuring everyone could take part in this valuable community training opportunity.
A big thank you to City of Casey, ArbTrack, and all participants for making the weekend such a success. We look forward to supporting more opportunities that help build skills, confidence, and community connections.

Many hands make light work! ✨

Today we had a very special helper join the crew… Grandad enlisted his grandson Simon to lend a hand cleaning the buses after their trips, all whilst singing the wheels in the bus go round n round 🧽🫧
We’re a small community bus service powered by volunteers, and it’s moments like these that remind us what community is all about ❤️
A big thank you to Simon for rolling up his sleeves and helping out – you’re a superstar! 🌟
Who knows… we might have a future volunteer in the making 😉
