Seems i missed sharing this day from my personal page.

Day 125 🌬🌬😨🌞 - I can understand why the term 'the windy west'.
Since starting our travels down the coast each day starts the same, wind blown red dust then by mid morning it miraculously ceases revealing another sensational, sunny day.

While the men cast their lines in hope of catching fish, Debbie and I trudged (well Debbie glided, I trudged) in the sand above the high tide mark. The hamstrings and calves were not thanking me. 🚶‍♀️

Check out the difference in the tide heights in the photos from morning high to afternoon low. 6.2m high and 1m low. Incredible to see. Yes, there are people about 1klm out.

Now about the fishing. The fish weren't playing today. None, nought, naught, zero, nil, zilch, nada, zip. So pizza for dinner. 🍕

Those following the posts closely will have noticed we are missing some members of our group. It doesn't matter how much you plan a trip, the unexpected happens. One person needed surgery in Darwin (all good and back on the road now), the other had an accident and is waiting for hand surgery in Perth and will catch up with us in a few days. It is a great reminder to enjoy every moment you can.

Day 127 🌞 - I got my swim.today and joined the lovely Debbie Clancy-Eady and Ros who we have met in a few spots along the way.

Cape Keraudren was a wonderful surprise. Again stunned at the beauty of the azure colour of the water as we arrived near high tide, then walking to the (ship) rock formation at low tide.

Our crabbers didn't any luck but have high expectations for tomorrow.🦀

Photos in day reverse.

Day 126 ☁️🌞 - We can't remember the last time we had a cloudy day. The beauty in the sky with the clouds at sunset were spectacular.

A morning walk as the tide as heading out and then walking over a kilometre towards the sea on the outgoing tide. It is amazing.

The caravan park held a market today with book sales going towards the RFDS.

I now have books in cupboards all around the van. 12 books read, 5 new ones, 5 more in reserve.

Day 124 🌬😨🌞 - You have to give it to WA and the standard of their highways. No potholes, no roller coaster. Flat, straight, and easy.

Fuel stops are critical between destinations and the Surefire Roadhouse stop was chaotic. Interesting collections of memorabilia to amuse while waiting in line to fill up.

Our 250klm drive today took us to 80 Mile Beach Caravan Park. As we arrived over a slight rise our first response was wow! The colour of the sea was electric.

A very tidy park with good facilities. Unfortunately swimming in the sea is not allowed. Sharks🦈, stingers🪼, and crocs 🐊seem to be an issue. 🤔
Disappointing as I always like to swim. Ankle deep it is.

Lucky to time it for entertainment this afternoon. We tapped our feet and sang along with country singer and Golden Guitar finalist, Terry Bennetts.

Day 123 🌬😨 🌞 - Hang on to your hats people. Another spectacular day on the beach exploring, swimming 🏊‍♀️ and playing cards which was m7ch improved when the wind settled.

The calves have been getting a workout with daily beach walks. Today our destination was 'The Lost City'. Towering sculpted rocks that form the remnants of a city in decay.

The playground and cafe area hosts all manner of animals and activities. The 8am Qigong class was popular.

The early morning fisherman came back an empty bucket. 🫤🎣

As we move on to a new spot it is a new opportunity for discovery.

Arriving at Barn Hill Station was not quite what we expected. I think the very completive games of bowls with a hordes of players was what threw us. On every Tuesday if your keen.

An odd chance meeting and chat with the lovely Lindie from Perth when swimming provided both of us with a walking partner to explore the beach cliff formations. Still.getting my heard around these big tides and how much all changes in a short period of time. High tide swim tomorrow.

Day 121 🌞 - Another excellent day in the Kimberley. On our morning wanderings through the dry water channels of the lagoon we spotted a couple of flocks of Brolgas feeding on the grasses. Those birds are impressive in size and grandeur.

Reaching the mouth of the lagoon we could only imagine what it woul be like with the high spring tide rushing in. The beaches and ocean are incredible. After a couple of hours of wandering we waded to the wells which were very different on the high tide. Not a person to collect shells, I couldn't resist these coloured pretties. No apologies for all the beach photos again.

A few tasks to complete in Broome. Such as fill the car and jerry cans. The trip to.and from Cygnet Bay towing was just a tad out of range. And visit the oldest contiguously running theatre in the world which was closed last attempt.

Our hosts invited us to watch the sunset overlooking the beach from their bnb. Apart from the always glorious WA sunset in this amazing setting, we were entertained by the resident Tawny Frog Mouth that makes a nightly appearance.

We plan to come back this way to catch the tide.

Day 120 🌞 - After a 2+hr drive then 45 minutes looking for our Hipcamp stay (wrong address on their site, and no phone number) we met a couple who stopped to assist and suggested The Wave House bnb as an option which also had a few vans spots.

It was meant to be. Hosts Jill and Shane are wonderfully welcoming and we have a great spot with direct access to the beach and Coconut Wells.

We have missed the tides for the float down the lagoon this week but might aim to time it for our return trip this way.

The rock pools at Coconut Wells are not like anything I've ever seen before. Except for the turqouise ocean, pristine white sand, and sea filled pools, I could imagine these formations would be found on Mars. Filled with sea life and filling with the tides. I could spend hours exploring. Many photos.

Tell me what you think.
