Recent BBQ lunch with a dear client as part of our respite services. May not look like much but her favourite (and mine as well) is a BBQ sausage sandwich with lashings of tomato sauce. Shout out to the ACT Government for providing free public BBQs at local parks. After lunch we sat in the car (at her request), and both sang Tina Turner as a duo. There were no witnesses to our performances, but I can assure you, our performances were 'simply the best' (see what I did there?)

Standing at the door, ready for a day of service, on the 2nd day of a Canberra winter. My mission for today is to provide companion driving services to our dear clients, which includes keeping them warm and dry. You bet I choose to accept this mission!

Not the best images. They are a dry left sleeve and a wet right sleeve. All the Daisy’s in the world know what this is caused by! It is caused by holding an umbrella in the left hand (to keep a dear client dry from the rain) whilst the right side is getting wet. Another example of the Daisy difference!

Some days we forget that Canberra is often referred to as the bush capital.

Some days we have some nice reminders.

The calm before the storm!

Rushed photo taken this morning at Gungahlin Lakes Club prior to the Mother’s Day rush! Multiple journeys to the club and back as Gungahlin mothers enjoyed some much-deserved family time. It was my pleasure.

Great news Canberra!

As of 2026, the Australian Capital Territory (ACT) is in the process of establishing a public, community-based Parkinson's Specialist Nurse service.

We were the last jurisdiction to appoint one.

Thank you Parkinsons ACT for welcoming me to your regular group meeting and allowing me to speak all things Driving Miss Daisy. Congratulations again on your effective lobbying.

Lovely road trip to Goulburn with a dear client over the weekend! During this trip I learnt two things; prawn and cheese toasted sandwiches are bomb, and Goulburn is a great place to swim, we had the whole pool to ourselves!
