Attention all exporters and international shippers! 📢

The European Commission is tightening the rules. If you’re shipping to or through the EU, Norway, Switzerland, or Northern Ireland, "good enough" descriptions are no longer enough.
The new ICS2 (Import Control System 2) regulations mean that using "stop words" will now result in immediate customs rejections.

What you need to know:
1. Avoid Unacceptable Goods Descriptions

The following descriptions are not permitted at MAWB (FWB) level:
✅ General Cargo (and other stop words per attached list)
✅ Consol/CON/CNSL
✅ Consolidated cargo / goods
✅ Consolidated / Consolidation

2. For Consolidated Shipments to EU (SQ/TR flights only):

Please ensure that only the following goods descriptions are used in the FWB/MAWB:
✅ Consol
✅ Consolidation
✅ CNSL These will be system-converted to detailed house-level descriptions for ENS filing compliance.

3. Accurate & Detailed Declarations Required
✅ All goods descriptions must be specific and accurately reflect the nature of the cargo. Generic or vague descriptions will not be accepted and may result in shipment rejection.

Don't let a single word hold up your supply chain. Ensure every declaration is detailed, accurate, and compliant.
