I'm approaching the one-year mark of running my own pilot car, it has been a challenge. There have been times when I felt like bailing, but I've kept on pushing through. And it's paid off. I get to do something I love, it’s given me the flexibility to be there for my kids more and work with some fantastic people. Plus, I get to travel Australia and get paid for it. It's exhausting, but it's worth it.I couldn’t do it with out the support of my family my parents and some great friends behind the scenes who help with the kids if I’m on a job

it’s time to bring in the Santa Fe and put her to work thank youRobert Barker and Melinda Barker for letting me use it to get started back into piloting and thank you Clint at Top Level Communications for wiring both cars up for me

Had a busy start to the week but as normal lacked on the photo taking 😂😂 and the weather really wasn’t on my side this week but got to finish of the work week bringing the ten line from ODLS back into town with Dad and co pilot my daughter grace there was no telling her no about getting in pas truck this weekend and coming to work fingers crossed for better weather this week

And to finish of the week I spent Thursday and Friday moving buildings with the boys at Fleetwood 😊

This was a major first for me
1st time travelling interstate alone
1st time out of the state with out my kids
1st time across the Nullarbor (did it another 3 times that week made up for lost time 😂)
1st piloting out of the state and out of my comfort zone I missed my kids like crazy but it was a great experience

4 years ago it was time for a bit of a career change I was lucky enough to get the opportunity to pilot for a transport company and learn ropes working for and with some amazing people over the last 4 years learning the does and don’t of piloting I finally decided to establish EJ Barker Piloting it’s not every day you get to do something you love and get paid for it.

Trucks have been a big part of my life since I was a little girl having a Dad in transport a brother and a brother in law I have learnt a lot of valuable skills that help I know will help me in the future of piloting
