🤠 Howdy
Armstrong beach has been very nice peaceful beach to stay.... 🐊 warning signs and all in the toilets....I wouldn't go for a walk on my own today😩 so Stevo came with me wow what a sight we saw a Mantaray accidentally caught/ released and then a small female crab also was a little entertaining every time I move so did she but eventually back in the water she went
O M G the shells on our walk were delightful even Steve picked alot up for me hehehe,
We were going to go to the Saturday van park bbq so I made up my potato salad, and didn't end up going but had a really nice night with our neighbour Dan! Dan and Steve hit it off and have ALOT in common, and music trivia wow he knows alot but I surprised him a couple of times hahaha.
Now we are heading off to Dan's house up the road for a look and we might set up there for abit....
Not going to go too much into it but it is feeling like we were meant to cross paths with Dan abit of a win win situation
I'll upload the little video on the beach shortly...
Plenty of potato salad for tonight 😀

G'day G'day🤠
Well we thought we were going to Blair Athol State Forest, set up camp and in the evening "Glen's partner" came and introduced herself and we found out the forest is next door🤭 we stayed anyway for $20 per night not listed,with about 8 other caravans and enjoyed our scooters on 4wd tracks and had our fire pit so roast lamb and potato bake for dinner😋 speaking of which I haven't seen any sheep yet!?
If course a nice hot choccy n marshmallows beside the 🔥 ahh
Or are we in just Beef country.
The poor bull has been in that spot for the 2 nights we stayed but they check on him and fill his Esky with water hopefully he gets better and not a bullet.
So we driving around in Clermont and find the pond...very nice pond and while Steve is filling out water supply I decided to get the stale bread out to feed to the 🦆 ducks
😲 I didn't even get all the bread out and I was swarmed by 🪿 geese now I was given some as pets when I was young and the effing things did nothing but chase and his at you🤯 yep I ran from the Bus.
Next stop was interesting
At the info/museum
Who has a world war 11 kayak laying around 😲
Was great to see all the mining machinery from back in the day and loved seeing the coal train brought out from mines ( my grandfather was a coal miner in " night Capps" NZ
We then spent a hr or so fossicking in very hard ground dry creek beds nah gave up.
We are now making our way back to the coastline, a good BP 24hr had great steak burgers and chicken n gravy rolls

Ok I won't bombard anymore today but I highly recommend this Big 4 caravan camping ground, it is awesome
With the creek at the back I'm hoping to spit a platypus or 2 in abit,
There is 3-4 of these camping kitchens set up all around the park...even have pizza ovens 😲😃
Big share fire pits with wood supplied or have your own
Buggies to ride, a few games outdoor cinema and a cafe doing jacket potatoes @$18.50 each or pizza $20 5-7:30pm
They even have a bar with Tooheys new Stevo happy but has his own supply....same as potatoes....I'll cook my own and save $.
I have a date cake I've added more dates and raisins cinnamon and mixed spice in the oven ready to pull out in 5 mins so I better hurry this up😆
Tip: We paid $61 for the 1st night and received a txt the next morning asking if we would like to extend for $37 per night...done we wanted to stay but we're told wait till next day and U get if for cheaper...aswell as their sister Big 4 in another national park.
Toilets and showers super clean BEST HOT SHOWERS and a load of washing is $5 which seems standard in caravan parks so far.

Carnavon Gorge.
The drive in was really beautiful actually the whole place is 🙌
We had a free night and oh boy was it a cold night early to bed and up early yesterday and started out with the "rock pool" not your typical but true to name.
It took roughly 3-3.5 hrs round trip to get to the Art gallery but was well worth it, and even Steve enjoyed but couldn't wait to get off his sore feet, in fact he even was hugging the Bus ( that would have made a great pic🤭)
We booked in to the Big 4 caravan park out here at the gorge, found our plot, unpacked and cooked up some snags eggs n chips and pasta salad for Brunch and had 2 hr nanny naps. Got abit organised and had the BEST hot shower since we left home. Plenty of entertainment in these parks
Did I mention the park gave us warning that we would hear some loud air blast while they try to relocate the flocks n flocks of flying foxes yeh it was loud and s**t loads of flying foxes
Today is catch up recoup and washing day, fire is ready for tonights Hot jacket potatoes and we have our projector up ready, scooter out for toilet runs and may go to the creek and try and spot a platypus

Heya so we have been moving around the last couple of days so seperate posts to make it easier to follow☺️
We left Rockhampton and headed West towards Emerald.
It was very cool to see cotton plantations and coal being conveyered over the Rd to load the trains, We we going to camp in this lovely national park but it was booked out so we found a better stop at the ski ramp camping ground much nicer anyways and the peacock was very friendly and of course drop out toilets, we ventured on the next morning through Emerald....filled up at $145.90 Per L, tried their "award winning" pies, sorry to say I call BS it was not very flavour some for tomato and onion...and both were barely warm 4/10 my score...yep I'll call it how it is
Anyway next venture was the dam b4 Carnavon gorge.....

Howdy Good morning 😊
Well we have had a couple of chill days waiting for the parcel, it finally arrived yesterday arv, so this is our last morning at Yeppoon, we headed down the main Yeppoon beach and wow how flat....and long it is, a good view of Great Keppel and Keppel Nth islands, we decided to go for abit of adventure and ride out scooters down the 🏖️😂😃
Came back and had a cuppa with a date and raisin loaf and checking emails with a lovely fresh air view was cool.
This morning 🌅 ahh we need milk so off I scoot,
it wasn't the best for photos but I'm happy with the ones I grabbed, was very pleased to see the art work ( I want a male black cockatoo 😆) around the esp. toilets and parkways. Great parks but I personally think parks at Hervey bay beat them.
