"I travel with a purpose".
These 5 powerful words have sat with me for the last couple of weeks. They were said to me by my 20-year-old daughter whilst we were travelling around Vietnam together.
She has travelled alone to South Africa, Cambodia and Vietnam. Each of these destinations, not only did she get to experience a different country, but she went there with a purpose. A purpose to help people by volunteering in a childcare centre and a local hospital.
Travel isn't just about collecting passport stamps, taking beautiful photos or ticking places off a bucket list.
Sometimes, the most meaningful journeys are the ones that change us - and maybe even make a difference in someone else's life.
Travel to learn.
Travel to connect.
Travel to experience different cultures.
Travel to step outside your comfort zone.
Travel to create memories that money can't buy.
And most importantly, travel with purpose.
When we travel with an open heart and curious mind, every destination becomes more than a place, it becomes a lesson, story and part of who we are.
Don't just travel to see the world, travel to understand it, appreciate it and leave a little goodness behind.
