A New Chapter for Fraser Suites (And No Landfill in Sight)

We are currently managing a significant logistical project at the former Fraser Suites in East Perth. As many in Perth know, this building is being converted into government housing, a major project for the city.

Before the renovations can begin, the building needs to be cleared.

Rather than sending hundreds of rooms' worth of furniture to landfill, the State Government has opted to distribute these assets to charities and community organisations. We are proud to be the logistics partner making that happen.

The Mission: We are working closely with the Palmerston Association, a leading WA not-for-profit supporting people with alcohol, drug, and mental health challenges. We are extracting and relocating a massive volume of high-quality furniture, beds, couches, dining tables, artwork, and white goods, to be reused in their facilities and to help people getting back on their feet.

The Logistics: This is not a standard house move. It is a high-volume extraction from a 19-storey hotel.

The Challenge: Heavy fire doors, lift access restrictions, and thousands of items distributed across hundreds of rooms. It requires precision, not just muscle.

The Ex*****on: We are utilising our largest 45-cubic metre truck, packed with what we call expert-level Tetris to maximise every run. The furniture is being distributed across the state, from Perth metro out to Katanning and Albany.

It is a privilege to support a project that saves tons of waste from landfill and directly benefits the WA community.

Today was intense.

3 moves scheduled. 3 trucks (114 cubic metres!). 7 crew members. Everyone on deck including yours truly.

Everything was running perfectly until... one of the major banks went down mid-day. Settlements delayed. No handovers. Two trucks completely packed, third being loaded, and all trucks booked again tomorrow.

Brief moment of panic? Absolutely. But we found solutions for everyone because that's what we do.

Massive shout out to Gio and Julian who worked with me until 10pm to get it done. And to our clients Diane and Gary. Despite their incredibly stressful day (and Diane running on basically one banana!), they were so kind and positive toward us. That means everything.
