: π LET'S TALK RIDESHARE!
WHAT'S YOUR EXPERIENCE?
π Every journey is more than a ride, it's an opportunity to make someone's day a little easier, safer, and brighter. Great service isn't just about reaching a destination; it's about how people feel along the way.
π
We'd love to hear from both riders and drivers.

What makes a great driver or passenger?
π Pros of conversations with drivers
* Makes the trip more enjoyable and friendly.
* Helps pass the time.
* Creates a welcoming atmosphere.
* Can provide local knowledge and recommendations.
* Builds trust and rapport.
* May reduce travel anxiety.
* Encourages positive customer experiences.
* Can lead to interesting stories and insights.
* Helps visitors learn about the area.
* Creates memorable journeys.
π Cons of excessive personal questioning
* Drivers are providing a transport service, not attending a personal interview. Some riders may leave low ratings if drivers choose not to discuss personal matters, and drivers may then feel the need to leave lower ratings in return to protect their accounts.
π‘ Did you know? Giving a driver a low rating may reduce the chances of being matched with that driver again. How many drivers have you blocked over time through low ratings? Can you still see plenty of drivers available on your screen?
* Many drivers work shifts of up to 12 hours a day. Imagine being asked the same personal questions by dozens of strangers every trip, every day, every week, every month, and every year.
Can distract drivers from the road.
May affect driving concentration.
Invades driver privacy. β’ Can make drivers uncomfortable.
May pressure drivers to disclose personal information.
Creates unnecessary stress.
Can cross professional boundaries.
Safety should remain the driver's primary focus. β’ Drivers do not need to provide any service other than transporting passengers safely from pickup to destination. Personal conversations, sharing private information, entertainment, counselling, life advice, and discussing family matters are entirely optional and should never be expected as part of the trip.
βοΈ An airline pilot by law secures the cockpit door for the entire flight. The reason is simple: safety and focus come first.
π Bus drivers are not expected to engage in ongoing personal conversations with passengers while driving. Their role is to transport passengers safely.
Rideshare drivers have the same responsibility. Why should rideshare drivers be expected to be available for personal interviews, disclose private information, or fill a social void for all strangers throughout every trip? Safe transport is the service being provided; everything else is optional and should always be at the driver's discretion.
π± Riders have access to plenty of entertainment during their trip, including their phone, music, videos, games, social media, messaging, emails, and work tasks. We encourage passengers to make use of these options while enjoying a comfortable and safe journey.
π§Ό We also encourage riders to be mindful of personal hygiene and body odours. Strong odours, whether from excessive perfume, cologne, or a lack of regular washing, can make the journey uncomfortable for everyone in the vehicle. In most cases, strong odours can cause nausea and may even make some drivers feel physically unwell and not fast ready to recover when picking you up.
β Ratings are not compulsory. If your trip was completed safely and professionally, but you simply didn't connect on a personal level, it's perfectly okay not to leave a rating at all.
β Ratings should reflect the quality of the transport service provided, not whether a driver chose to keep personal information private. Ratings should also be fair and based on factors within the driver's control, not because of traffic delays, road closures, accidents, weather conditions, other road users, or situations beyond the driver's control.
Judge the service fairly based on safety, professionalism, vehicle condition, and the overall transport experience.
π€ Question for riders:
During a 12-hour shift, would you feel comfortable sharing details about your private life, family, children, finances, and where you live with hundreds of strangers every day, every week, every month, and every year?
Drivers deserve the same respect for their privacy as anyone else.
