Thinking about the Buy Now option? Here’s how it works.

When you list your boat, you can choose to add a Buy Now price.
This is the price you’d be happy to take if the right buyer comes along early. It usually sits higher than your auction reserve.

As soon as the listing is assigned to an auction, your Buy Now price is visible on the auction listing and on our website. If a buyer accepts it, the boat is sold straight away and never goes to auction.
Once the first bid is placed, the Buy Now option disappears and the boat runs through the auction as normal. From there, it will sell if bidding goes over your reserve.

The upside of Buy Now is that your boat could sell early, before auction day.
The trade off is that it might have gone for more if bidding kicked off. Then again, it could also have sold for less or not sold at all.

It really comes down to what you’re comfortable with and how you want to sell.
