Thanks to our local knowledge and connections, they were able to go directly from the Vatican Museums into St. Peter’s Basilica through an internal passage — avoiding the need to exit, queue again, purchase another ticket and wait to enter.

Recently, thanks to a conversation on The Italian Australian Podcast , I received a travel enquiry that stayed with me.

A simple idea, but incredibly powerful.

A milestone birthday… celebrated not just in Italy, but in a place that holds deep personal meaning — the hometown of one’s parents.

It made me pause and think about what travel can truly represent when it goes beyond destinations and becomes connection.

Because imagine this:

Gathering your closest people in a small Italian town, somewhere like Sulmona in the heart of Abruzzo… where time slows down, traditions are still alive, and every street feels like part of a family story.

A long-table lunch in the countryside, shared laughter, local food, and moments that feel both new and deeply familiar at the same time.

It made me realise something simple:

Last week I had the chance to be part of the Laguna Veneto Bocce Club.

It was great reconnecting with familiar faces like Josie from The Italian Australian Podcast and meeting new ones, including people I had crossed paths with before at Perth Italian Festival like Antonio Bossman Ferraro .
One thing that really stood out to me was hearing how these events can create real connections and even loyal returning customers for local businesses.

For me, as the founder of Bella Ciao Travels, every event is a chance to share my passion for Italy, connect with people who dream of travelling there, and plant the seed for future journeys. Sometimes the value isn’t immediate — it’s in the conversations, the connections, and the trust built over time.

After the festival I headed off on holiday, so I’m only sharing these beautiful moments now — captured by a talented photographer Davide Zamboni Photography — but better late than never.

Grazie to everyone who stopped by, had a chat, and showed interest in what I do. Looking forward to the next one 🇮🇹✨

For our audience, travel is not a rushed checklist — it's a carefully considered journey, and every decision matters.

One of our guests asked if it would be possible to visit a marble quarry during their Italian holiday. After carefully reviewing their itinerary, which included travelling from Venice to Naples aboard the Frecciarossa, we felt that a detour to Carrara wasn't the best use of their valuable time.

Instead, we curated an experience that stayed true to their interests while fitting seamlessly into their journey: a guided visit to Napoli Sotterranea.

Beneath the bustling streets of Naples lies a hidden world carved from Neapolitan yellow tuff (Tufo Giallo Napoletano), a volcanic stone formed from ancient eruptions of the Campi Flegrei. This remarkable material has shaped the city for centuries and tells the story of Naples through its architecture, ingenuity and resilience.

Because tailor-made travel isn't about adding more kilometres — it's about creating the right experiences, in the right places, at the right time.

What an amazing night at the Laguna Club BBQ Night! ❤️

Old friends, new friends, potential customers, plenty of laughter, dancing, and wonderful conversations. These are the moments that remind us how special our community truly is.

This morning in Perth it was so cold that it took me straight back to one of my favourite memories: skiing in Cervinia.

A settimana bianca in Valle d'Aosta is not just about skiing. It's waking up surrounded by incredible mountains, spending the day on the slopes, enjoying a plate of pasta and a glass of wine afterwards, wandering through alpine villages and discovering castles that have been there for centuries.

Cervinia, Courmayeur, La Thuile... each place has its own personality, but they all share the same magic.

If you're looking for a winter holiday that combines adventure, beautiful scenery, amazing food and a true Italian experience, Valle d'Aosta might just surprise you.
