Look how much space each piece gets. 🍊

Fruit moving in a single layer, spread out, never stacked on itself.

Bruising does not show up on the day. It shows up in the customer's fruit bowl four days later.

Handle it gently in the shed, hold the temperature on the road, and it holds its condition all the way through.

Loads leave the Riverina in the evening so the fruit is on the market floor before the city wakes up.

Night running is not a nice to have in fresh produce. It is the only way the timing works.

Cooler on the road. Earlier on the shelf. Longer in the fridge at home.

What happens after the shed. 🚛

Fruit is packed, palletised and precooled at Clear Lake.

We pick it up out of Griffith and it goes into a network that runs every day.

Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide. Every capital city produce market and every major supermarket distribution centre.

Temperature logged the whole way. No gaps.

Every piece that passes the camera gets a profile. Colour, size, surface, grade.

The good fruit goes one way. Everything else goes another.

By the time it reaches our trailer it has already been sorted, sized and matched to the customer it is going to.

A B double leaving with a full load of Riverina citrus.

Loaded at temperature, sealed, and it does not open again until it gets where it is going.

That is the difference between fruit that arrives and fruit that arrives in condition.

One treadmill. Two and a half hours without stopping. 💜

This morning The Tailored Fresh Team took on the Walk for Epilepsy Treadmill Challenge, with Dayne leading the team.

Ten people, a continuous relay, someone on the belt the whole way until the time was done.

1 in 25 Australians will be diagnosed with epilepsy in their lifetime. That is someone in nearly every workplace, every classroom and every family.

The money raised goes to , who help people build an epilepsy management plan they can actually live with, and help employers support staff who have a seizure disorder.

And it does not stop today. Some of the team are logging distance every day across the first 25 days of October.

Optical grading reads colour, size and blemish on each individual piece as it passes.

No guessing. No eyeballing a whole bin and hoping.

It is the same principle we run on the transport side. Measure it, log it, prove it.

Clear Lake Citrus run this shed through the citrus season, and it does not stop when the fruit is picked.

Wash. Grade. Size. Pack. Chill.

Then our job starts. Out of Griffith, into the network, onto the market floor.

Fruit arrives at the grader in a single layer, spaced out, moving slowly.

Slow is deliberate. Fruit that gets knocked around at this stage shows it a week later on the shelf.

Gentle handling here, temperature control from us, and the customer gets fruit that still looks like this when they pick it up.
