Well it was back to the airport in convoy earlier this week to help the family of 6 get back home to Adelaide.

We can't truly know what it feels like to be in someone's shoes until we've been in that position but we can definitely do our best to try and be willing to listen.

Recently, we have started supporting a lady who basically lives life in a wheelchair after an accident 2 years ago, breaking her back. She can get in and out of the wheelchair but can't be on her legs for long at all so using a walker isn't possible.

She needed to get to the bank at Westfield Knox to sort some things out so we were glad to be able to help her.

Once we got back to the retirement village, I had a coffee with her. She was explaining how hard and isolating it's been. You can't just jump in the car to go to the supermarket or to go visit family, a friend etc. With some family overseas and nothing to do with the family that are a couple of hours away, it has to be so lonely! Some of her friends still visit, others don't.

It's not often we do a trip in convoy!

Earlier this week, Annie and Lierin were able to assist a family of 6 with an airport transfer to their accommodation in the CBD.

With the dad in a wheelchair (able to get in and out of the car), another wheelchair packed and all their luggage, it was too much for one car. So this way, all the family could go together in Tux and all the luggage went in Gilbert. .

What a beautiful start to the day this morning! It looks like it was right next to the car but it was actually a little further afield.

When I shared this in our team chat this morning, one of my driver's joked that we should have a Driving Miss Daisy one. A blue, white and yellow one would look pretty good up there. 😂
