A Peaceful Escape
After a whirlwind adventure in South Australia, we journeyed north 4 hours through part of the ' Riverland ' region. Then over the border and our first stop Mildura.
Majority of the country side is very dry, except the a greenery of the vineyards and bush shrubs.
We free camped a few days in Merbein a few minutes drive outside of Mildura on the beautiful Murray River. Watched boats and expensive house boats go past, kids catching carp and feeding the bird life.
Meet some lovely people, Chris, Joan and Rod. Paddled around in our canoe on still waters and watched the world go by was pure bliss.
Got bitten by a nasty bull ant that was not fun.
We continued our journey to Swan Hill, and as soon as we were over the border and on the side of a country road, we definitely knew we were in Victoria..... " 2 speed cameras" and also pulled over for breatho at 10am.
Stayed at the Big 4 Riverside, we had a great view of Murray River.
Then we headed into Echuca and pulled up at our fav caravan park, Tasman Meroole and again on the Murray River.
It's hot and dry. The weather has been great and lots of swimming. Hung out with our friends Jules & Juzz.
After a few days headed to our last stop Yarrawonga, and checked out our home sit.
Tip..Did you know the Murray River is 362 kilometres long!
Enjoy our pics and we now home bound to our family and can't wait for more cuddles with our gran babies.
