Dan reckons I have writer’s block this week, but I beg to differ. When your week looks like ours, there is never a shortage of stories to tell, considering I’ve tried to write this weeks post 3 times and can’t seem to get it right he might just be right. 🤦‍♀️

So Here we go…

It has been an absolute marathon of a week for our whole team. We have moved everything from compact studios, one and two bedroom apartments right through to massive three and four-bedroom family homes. On top of managing multiple property settlements, we kicked off the initial stages of an enormous estate featuring eight bedrooms and eight bathrooms and wrapped up a home to head to Melbourne.

Then on top of that we moved a family’s prized possessions down to Mollymook and back on Saturday, plus dropped our latest truck off at Smilee Designs for a full pink overhaul. We pick that beauty up on Tuesday and cannot wait to introduce her to everyone.

Between the sunshine, the downpours, sweating through the heat, and freezing in the cold, we have laughed, been super positive and done what we do best. I even managed to hit the pillow before 10 pm one night, which feels like a minor miracle given how much of our lives revolves around No Hiccup Pickup but we seriously wouldn’t have it any other way.

I’d usually tell you to give us a wave if you spot us out on the road, but most of you already do. We are endlessly grateful for this incredible community and everyone backing us every single day.

Have a wonderful week ahead everyone and yes this post is not my finest 🤷‍♀️

Having this special lady by our side made the entire weekend.

From the second she arrived to visit us this week, Jules was ready to get involved. She asked for her own uniform straight away and could not wait to hit the road with No Hiccup Pickup and yes that is a empty roll of wrap she is holding, because she loved wrapping up furniture so much we have had to place another order for a new pallet load 😂. Watching her jump right in was the absolute highlight of our week.

Jules, you mean the world to us and we love you beyond words. Thank you for being such a bright, wonderful part of our lives. ✨

"I’m so sorry about all the stairs!"🤯

This is a statement that we hear almost every single day.
Our response? What are you talking about? We absolutely love stairs.

To be completely honest, stairs are always our preference over a building with a lift. Most people get super worried about how long a relocation will take when faced with multiple flights of stairs, but the reality is quite the opposite. When you have a truly fast-paced team who actually come to work and love what they do everyday, a walk-up move can actually be significantly faster than dealing with slow service lifts, key fobs, and endless treks across car parks and loading docks.

The pace of a move comes down to momentum. While large, precious items need to be handled with care and deliberate precision, the second our hands are empty and we are heading back up to the apartment, you better believe we are running.

We are naturally fast-moving people. We do not meander through life, our entire team is obsessed with fitness, and we genuinely love to get the job done at lightning speed. Just the other day, a customer told us she was exhausted purely from watching us work, which is the ultimate compliment.

That is everything we want for you on moving day, an elite, high-energy team that executes your relocation quickly, flawlessly, and with absolute zero damage.

That right there is the No Hiccup Pick Up standard. Fast, seamless, and completely unmatched.

It really is not complicated. No excuses Respecting people’s belongings is the bare minimum standard, not an optional extra.

Too many people accept damaged furniture, scratched floors, and dinged corners as an unavoidable part of moving house. The truth is, it simply comes down to effort and standard.

When you take the time to wrap every piece properly, use the right protective pads, and handle items with genuine care, things do not get broken. It is that straightforward.

Back on Spencer Street again. At this point, we are thinking of setting up a permanent No Hiccup Pickup toll booth at the end of the road.

Yesterday, we rolled back into the scene of the crime for what feels like the 47th time this year. We pulled up the driveway, and three different neighbours waved at us like standard suburbia regulars. One of them even asked if we wanted our usual coffee order.

We have now moved people up the street, down the street, across the street, into temporary houses while they renovate, and right back into the exact houses we cleared out six months ago. Pretty sure the local council is going to start sending us council rates invoices for how much time our trucks spend parked here.

If you live on Spencer Street and you hear a truck backing up, do not even check the window. It is just us. Again. Hi 🙋‍♀️

We officially have a super fan! Meet three-year-old Lilly. The cutest little human on the planet.

We do not think we have ever been more excited to pull up to a job than we were on Saturday. Lilly had been jumping up and down all week waiting for the big pink trucks to roll on up, and she even had the No Hiccup PicK Up name down to a fine art.

When we turned into the driveway, we were greeted by the most gorgeous handpainted sign on the front door welcoming our team 🥹 the cutest welcoming party we have ever had the privilege of receiving. But the absolute magic moment was seeing the pure excitement on Lilly’s face when she sat in the trucks. She was absolutely beside herself, sitting pride of place in the front seat and saying "No Hiccup PicK Up" in the cutest little voice. It completely melted our hearts and was hands down one of the sweetest things any of us have ever seen.

The family greeted us like old friends, putting on an extraordinary full spread for our team for lunch. We say it time and time again, but we are so lucky to have such incredible families trusting us with their prized possessions.

That beautiful handpainted sign now has pride of place on our office wall and will stay with us forever.

A massive thank you to Lily and her amazing family for making our week! 💗✨

How on earth do we ever say thank you? 🥹

Seriously... how is it even possible that we have this level of support standing behind us every single day?

Dan and I sit here and honestly just pinch ourselves. Every time the phone rings, it is someone new. It is someone who was handed our number by a neighbour. A recommendation from a past customer, A post in a local Mums Group, the unwavering support of customers in community pages all over sydney or someone who built a fresh start through our Above 8 Donate initiative.

How did we get so lucky? What did we do to deserve this kind of love from all of you? We are so overwhelmed with the kindness and love from everyone🥹🩷

When we first stepped up to support vulnerable people in our community, we never in a million years expected you to rally behind us the way you did. What started as a mission to lend a helping hand has turned into the most extraordinary, humbling journey of our lives.

You are the heartbeat behind everything we do. You are the exact reason this business is growing into something so deeply special.

To every single person who opens their front door and welcomes us into their home...
To everyone who introduces us to their family, shares our name, or shouts about us from the rooftops...
Thank you. From the absolute bottom of our hearts, thank you. We are forever indebted to each and every one of you.
