The sails have come down, the anchors are up, and the 2026 Pantaenius Fiji Regatta Week has drawn to a close at Musket Cove Island Resort and Marina, Fiji

It’s where sailors cross vast oceans to meet, including many of our own Pantaenius customers who had been dreaming of adding this regatta to their bucket list for years. Getting to know them, hearing their stories and sharing a little time together was the true highlight of Regatta Week.

There were plenty of stories shared over a drink, around the marina and between races. Stories of where people had been, where they were heading next and everything in between. It was a great reminder of just how much this community means to us.

In that same spirit, our limited edition regatta skipper bags with a new 2026 design were met with open arms across the fleet. We look forward to seeing their adventures onboard far and wide.

As naming rights sponsor for the first time, we were honoured to stand alongside Musket Cove as it marked 42 years of this regatta and 50 years as a resort and marina. It is a milestone built on the kind of community, both on land and at sea, that made this week what it was.

Thank you to the Musket Cove team for their incredible hospitality, something we will remember.

All good things must come to an end, so we bid you Moce - a Fijian farewell until next year!

The boats are arriving, the fleet is growing, and a record number of Bluewater vessels are settling in around Musket Cove Island Resort and Marina, Fiji, Vuda Marina Fiji and Port Denarau Marina ahead of Fiji Regatta Week!

"All roads in the Pacific lead to Fiji for September," no more words could be true said our Managing Director James MacPhail.

He goes on to say, "cruising has never really been about the boat. It has always been about the people aboard it." This is a true for over 130 Bluewater vessels that descend into this corner of the South Pacific each September.

In just its inaugural year, the first edition has already been seen from Fiji to Sanctuary Cove, Amsterdam to Auckland, and it was only a limited run to begin with, handcrafted in the paradisiacal Pacific island group.

Fiji, we have arrived! 🌴⛵

The first on our list was to visit the beautiful Port Denarau Marina​, to greet our Pantaenius Bluewater customers. Many having sailed in from all corners of the globe ahead of the 2026 Pantaenius Fiji Regatta Week at Musket Cove Island Resort and Marina, Fiji​.

It never ceases to amaze us what this passionate community is willing to do to attend this regatta. Great big passages, long miles, all to be part of something so incredibly special in the South Pacific. Over the coming week we will be sharing their stories, so stay tuned!

How a humble Pantaenius skipper bag became an icon.

The story is as old as time, for a humble merch bag till it wasn’t. It began on a table at the Musket Cove Fiji Regatta Week briefing, collected up, slung over sailor’s shoulders, and carried back to the boats, never to be seen again... Except thats not where this story ends.

Reports of the bags spotted on a dock in Sanctuary Cove, slung over a shoulder in Amsterdam, waiting at a gate in Auckland, the list goes on, the stories these bags could tell.

This humble skipper's bag doubles as a dry bag that we designed in Australia and handcrafted in Fiji, a limited first run bag, so we thought. A calling card, if you will, to proudly show you took part in something so special.

Somewhere along the way it became a mascot of sorts, a totem of a fever dream regatta in Fiji. Recognisable at a glance, proof you were there, and now unintentionally a cult collector's favourite. A reminder that will outlast the regatta itself, carried on to become part of the story for those lucky enough to have been there.

There's a nice symmetry to it. Boats cross oceans to reach Fiji every September. The bag just did the same journey in reverse, carrying a little piece of Musket Cove with them.

Jamie MacPhail, Managing Director of Pantaenius Australia, said it best: "Michaela Claes from our office did a great job creating the idea, and the local team that make them do a superb job."

He goes on to say - "after all, cruising has never really been about the boat. It has always been about the people aboard it. The same could be said for the Musket Cove Regatta." said Jamie MacPhail.

Requests flooded oh how more could claim theirs, it only meant we had to design a new one for this year, but you will have to wait to see the 2026 Skipper's Bag. The participants at the 42nd Musket Cove Fiji Regatta Week from 15 to 19 September will be the first.

In less than two weeks, the Fiji Regatta Week begin, and 2026 marks our first year as naming rights sponsor of the event. ⛵️🏝️

Running 15th-19th September, this is the 42nd edition of one of the South Pacific's most iconic cruising gatherings, made even more special this year by Musket Cove Resort and Marina's 50th anniversary.

For many bluewater cruisers and sailors, Regatta Week has earned its place as a genuine bucket list event, one whose reputation draws boats that have crossed oceans just to be there.

At its heart, the Regatta Week is about the people aboard the boats, the friendships that carry on year after year, and reconnecting in one of the most stunning settings the Pacific has to offer. That said, there is still plenty happening on the water too, from Hobie Cat racing to the Round Malolo passage race we sponsored last year, along with social events on and off the water throughout the week for all ages.
