My friend gave me a bunch of flowers for my birthday this year. It was the same day as Fathers Day so it was a bit of extra effort to carve time out of her day to pop round and make me feel special.

That simple act profoundly impacted me over the coming weeks as every time I looked at the flowers I was reminded of her kindness and love. It wasn’t just a gift in the moment it was an ongoing reminder of “hey, I care!”

Whilst they were for my birthday I love that you don’t need a reason to gift someone flowers.

Flowers are the perfect “just because” gift.
