Exciting news for Qantas travelers! Classic Plus reward seats are now available for booking on the Qantas site for bookings starting July 2024. While they offer more availability for point redemption, they might not be the best value for your points.
Have a look at the example above for a direct Sydney - Los Angeles flight: a Classic Plus Premium Economy seat will cost more than a Classic Rewards First Class redemption!
Here’s what you need to know:
👉🏼 the pricing sits between Classic Rewards and Points Plus Pay
👉🏼 pricing is based on the cash fare equivalent on the day
👉🏼Classic Plus will offer much more availability than Classic Rewards do, but at a lower value per point ratio
👉🏼 they are often cheaper when booking return tickets, as cash fares are
👉🏼 they won’t earn SC or points (unless you’re a Points Club member) and the change and cancellation fees are the same as Classic Rewards
👉🏼 available for QF operated flights departing Australia (domestic and international flights to become available throughout 2024)
