Today focused on where a Volvo Penta engine begins—from casting engine blocks at the Skövde Foundry to precision machining and final assembly at Vara. It was impressive to see the scale and automation behind each engine.

Seeing the full process firsthand gives a real appreciation for the engineering behind every Volvo Penta engine.

A fascinating start to the visit at the Volvo Penta Reman Centre, where used engines and parts are given a second life through remanufacturing. This process helps reduce waste while extending the life of valuable components and supporting a more sustainable marine industry.

Annual service interval done on these Volvo Penta IPS drives — props spinning smoothly, oils drained and replaced, fresh anodes fitted, and oil samples taken for analysis. All serviced, protected and ready to push hard for another year on the water. ⚓️💪
