It is time for a massive shout-out to Ash from for joining us on both sides of the start line this year!

We have had many great years watching Ash conquer the ZACH MACH as part of a pair with his faithful mate, Ev. However, for our 14th Year in 2026, Ash is stepping up to the ultimate challenge - he’s going Solo!

We are all looking forward to seeing him stay in the kayak across Teemburra Dam this May. That said, rest assured our Technical Officials will be out on the course with a keen eye to ensure the team at Mackay Marine Services hasn't "accidentally" mastered a lightweight, hidden motor to help him through the paddle leg! 🕵️‍♂️🛶

In all seriousness, Ash, thank you for the incredible support and for being such a vital part of the ZACH MACH community. We can’t wait to see you smash it out there!
