SALT is looking for Casual Workshop Trainers to join us for 1–2 week touring stints across remote WA communities.

✨ Flights, travel, accommodation, meals and daily pay provided
✨ Work alongside experienced tradies who’ve been loving their role for many years
✨ Introduce students to tools, practical skills and the possibilities of careers in trades
✨ Be welcomed into incredible remote communities across the Kimberley

This is more than just a job - it’s hands-on, meaningful work that genuinely impacts young people and often changes the perspective of the trainers too.

📍 We currently have 3 positions available for the Broome → Kununurra leg

📅 31 May – 13 June 2026 (starting next week!)

Never in the world did I think we’d be standing on the stage in front of the Who's Who of the Australian Sign Industry receiving recognition in the ASGA - Australian Sign & Graphics Association Awards 2024. We are so chuffed!! 😍😍

Big love to our customers, teachers, mentors and suppliers. There is no way we would have achieved this without you all and we’re truely grateful for your support.

What an amazing evening it was!! The calibre of craftsmanship, skill and creativity in the entries is just so amazing. Congrats to all the Winners, we sat in awe of your work for most of the evening. I didn’t get time to ask enough people about how they actually made some of these beautiful signs… or how they got them up on those really, really big buildings. Some of these masterspieces are huge. The designs, fabrication and installation of them - so intricate and so well planned. Will have to come back in 2 years time so I can pick more of your brains… I’ll try get there on time too! 🙌😆

So, we may have made a fashionably late entrance because some dick didn’t read the invite properly and came to a stark realisation that there is not just one Doltone House but about 6 of these houses and we had arrived at the wrong house… then were given directions to another wrong house. 🤦‍♀️😳🤪 3rd time lucky and we found the right Doltone House after some extremely funny running in high heels and fabulous evening attire through the CBD. Sorry Big D DeVant'e, I’m thinking you may need to take charge of these way finding jobs in future 🤦‍♀️😬🤭

The kids are fairly unimpressed with my cooking skills so I told them I’m heaps better at making signs and we can’t all be good at everything… please give us a few likes in the Peoples Choice ASGA - Australian Sign & Graphics Association Awards 2024, a share too would be bloody great!!… mostly so the boys don’t think I’m a liar and a terrible cook!🤭
