Rod travelled to Tasmania this week for the inaugural Royal Tasmanian Wh**ky Awards - and made a few new friends along the way!

He popped into Overeem Wh**ky & got the chance to meet owners Jane & Mark, before having the honour of chatting with the "father" of Australian wh**ky, Bill Lark.

He also met Hillwood Distillery founder Oliver Herron & saw Amber Lane's name up in lights!

A fantastic visit to our distillery from members of the Blue Mountains Wh**ky Club, who recently bottled their Amber Lane cask as part of our barrel program.

The group chose a 60-year-old Spanish Oloroso cask, filled around four years ago with classic Amber Lane new make. Several members made the trip to the distillery to be part of the bottling process - and to sample their wh**ky!

The finished product will be officially unveiled this weekend as part of the group's 7th anniversary celebrations - we're so glad you loved the final result!
