Uro Bangladesh Welcomes Dr. Iqbal F Hussain

Uro Bangladesh was honored to welcome Dr. Iqbal F. Hussain, Senior Advisor at Asian Tiger Capital Partners, to our laboratory.

The visit provided an excellent opportunity for meaningful discussions on innovation, research commercialization, healthcare technology, and the importance of strengthening collaboration between academia and industry. Dr. Hussain shared valuable insights from his extensive international experience in pharmaceutical research, biotechnology, strategic leadership, and venture development, offering perspectives that were both inspiring and highly relevant to emerging research initiatives.

A graduate of the University of London (MBBS, Medicine), Dr. Hussain has held senior leadership positions at globally recognized organizations, including AstraZeneca and Ferring Pharmaceuticals, where he contributed to medical affairs, clinical development, and healthcare innovation. His diverse experience across industry, entrepreneurship, and investment highlighted the value of interdisciplinary collaboration in advancing impactful technologies.

Uro Bangladesh Hosts Distinguished BSCL Delegation

Uro Bangladesh recently welcomed a distinguished delegation from Bangladesh Satellite Company Limited (BSCL) to our research lab, a milestone moment for our UAV and drone technology research team.

The visit brought together:

🔹 Dr. Muhammad Imadur Rahman: Managing Director & CEO, BSCL; former Principal Researcher at Ericsson Research leading global 5G/6G standardization, holder of 345+ granted patents in wireless and satellite communications

🔹 S. M. Anwarul Aziz: Assistant General Manager (Technology, Planning & Research), BSCL; expert in space technology, CAD, and UAV design

🔹 Md. Hachhibur Rahman: Manager (RF Engineer), BSCL

The discussion explored satellite communication systems, RF engineering, and space technology, and how these fields increasingly intersect with UAV and drone innovation in Bangladesh. It was a valuable opportunity to connect student-led research with the expertise of one of Bangladesh's leading satellite communication organizations.

𝗛𝗮𝗱𝗶-𝗩 𝗦𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗳𝘂𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗔𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗲𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝗜𝘁𝘀 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗕𝗼𝗼𝘁 🚀

Alhamdulillah! We are delighted to announce that 𝗛𝗮𝗱𝗶-𝗩, an in-house developed RISC-V CPU by 𝗔𝗹𝗽𝗵𝗮 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗟𝗮𝗯 (ASL), has successfully achieved its first boot.

Hadi-V is an 32 bit RISC-V processor (RV32IM_Zicsr) featuring 5 stage scalar pipelined design, a dynamic branch predictor and data-hazard mitigation (RAW hazards), designed and developed entirely in-house.

Following extensive functional verification and system-level verification, the processor has now been successfully prototyped on the Tang Nano 9K FPGA.

By first boot, we mean the processor achieved its first successful startup on the FPGA and executed the firmware it was programmed with — a significant milestone in taking Hadi-V from RTL to a working hardware prototype.

This is more than just a successful boot. It represents the culmination of architecture, RTL design, verification, toolchain integration, FPGA implementation, and countless hours of engineering.

ASL is proud to share this milestone with the nation. 🇧🇩

Team Uro Bangladesh proudly set up our booth at BEAR 2026 Bangladesh, held at the Novo Theater, to showcase our flagship autonomous drone project, Uro Skymind.

As a UAV and drone technology research organization based at United International University (UIU), we were excited to present our work in autonomous flight systems and engage with the wider robotics, AI, and engineering community in Bangladesh.
