AOC morning game drives are a ritual, imagine staying at camp alone for hours. Here Billa had underestimated the cold weather of Khutse and came apere di shorti. Elephant sightings have now become a normal thing in Khutse. This was a very rare sighting in the heart of the Kalahari basin some years ago. The establishment of permanent water points has largely contributed to this development. Observation is that only bachelor herds make it to Khutse.

HA GO NA KGOMO YA BOROKO AT CAMP
Every morning at camp means you wake up early, brush your teeth, tsaya omang then grab a snack and beverage of choice as we need to be at the nearest waterhole by dawn so we stalk it for a couple of hours. This is a camping ritual and there is no time for sleep.

A very big part of the AOC lifestyle is food! Dijo, dia maleng, botsogo! Bagaetsho, we are all foodies and we love ourselves a great meal. In the group, we have different members who have expertise in different dishes. For example, is very good with his quick rice meals, while is very popular with his madombi and oxtail one pot. will lay down a proper breakfast silently, while will keep you entertained and well hydrated 😂😂😂. All these boys gave us a treat in Khutse.

The experience was so great, our guests .bw and VJ from had this to say when asked if they would like to go to the bush again..."Definitely! The food was amazing, it was especially nice to enjoy food prepared authentically with lovely flavors and fully homemade on the spot..."

KHUDU YA MARIGA E ITSIWE KE MAY
We are in it for a very harsh winter, Gerrt said as he pulled out his mattress pump and got his blankets ready for bed on Friday evening, oir first night at camp. There was a cold wind sweeping in, probably aggravated by the rainfall.

It has been a very weird April with record rainfall during what we typically have come to know as the beginning of winter. There seems to be something out there which has disturbed our rainy season patterns. Our rain comes late, and when it comes, it rains right into the winter.

This past weekend's camp was extra special. We had two members celebrating their birthdays marking the beginning of the cold May weather. Friday 1st of May marked the birthday of while Saturday 2nd May celebrated his too! We broke bread, ate and got merry in celebration.

KO MAJITENG
Often referred to as a boys hangout, which is an informal gathering where male friends create time and spend it relaxing, socializing, or engaging in shared hobbies. Whenever a group of men are out there by themselves, this means a lot of fun, laughter and banter. This was exactly what we did in Khutse this past weekend.
