It’s taken me a long time to muster up the courage to write this post. After a lot of thought and prayer, I’ve decided to take a step back from … I’m not sure if this is forever or just for now, because only the good Lord knows what the future holds.
I’m sure you’ve noticed that I’ve been less “active” on social media as of late and it’s true what they say, the more you put into it, the more you get out. I could give you all the reasons and to you they may sound like excuses but over the past two years, I’ve learned a lot about myself, my ability, or lack-there-of to juggle all of my roles. My job as an investigator has become more challenging and in-depth and I love it. I have goals and dreams for both my personal and professional life and am looking forward to where the Lord leads me. We are also at the end of our renovations (as if they ever end🙄) but at the beginning of our Saskatoon berry farm life.
In the past short while, although I’ve always known it, I’ve learned what it means when I say my family comes first. This includes not only Warren and my kids but my siblings, my parents, my in-laws, my nieces and nephews and close friends. In order to have time and energy to focus on what matters most to me, something had to give, and while I love what we have built with our small business, it’s not my priority in this moment.
I’ve made so many friendships over the last three years and have met so many inspiring small business owners who have THE most admirable work ethic. I’ve also built friendships through the gram which I’m hopeful will continue. I don’t know what will happen with this page but you can always follow me where I post un-curated content about my life, our renovations and our farm.
So, what’s next? Over the next few weeks we are hoping to sell our existing stock, so keep your eyes 👀 peeled for some amazing deals!
