🚀 Exciting Hybrid Refit Success Story! 🚀

At Diy Marine Services, we recently collaborated with them to refit our 1988 46’ Gulf Commander MotorYacht with twin Transfluid parallel hybrid modules integrated into our existing Cummins VT-555 diesel engines. The results have been game-changing!

• Top Speed Boost: As a semi-displacement hull, we originally topped out at 17 knots. Now, with the hybrid setup, we’re hitting 21 knots effortlessly in boost mode!

• Fuel Efficiency Wins: We’ve seen about 23% savings on our annual fuel bills so far—meaning fewer trips to the gas docks and more time on the water.

• Engine Longevity: By running the diesels only at high RPMs (as they were designed) and switching to electric for slow-speed maneuvers, we’ve doubled the time between oil changes. No more carbon buildup clogging things up from low-RPM idling!

This upgrade has made our yacht more efficient, eco-friendly, and reliable. If you’re considering a hybrid refit, Coastal Defiance Design nailed the engineering—highly recommend reaching out to them!
