Did you know?

Fluid Film is highly effective in marine environments due to its lanolin-based formula, which excels at combating saltwater corrosion, moisture, and salt spray common issues for boats, trailers, engines, and other equipment near or in the ocean. Originally developed in the 1940s for U.S. Navy ships, it has a long history of proven performance in harsh marine conditions, including on naval vessels, commercial ships, barges, offshore rigs, and recreational boating.

Main Uses in Marine Environments

• Boats & Vessels: Protects fittings, hinges, levers, pulleys, rollers, locks, nuts/bolts, winches, windlasses, thru-hull fittings, steering linkages, wire rope, and ground tackle from rust and salt spray.

• Outboard Motors & Engines: Spray the entire engine (including interior housing), electrical connections, plugs, cables, linkage, gears, and fittings to shield against salt and extend life.

• Boat Trailers: Apply to electrical connections (lights), suspension leaf springs, spring hangers, hull rollers/bearings, hitch/ball, winch, and exposed metal which prevents rust even after saltwater submersion.

• Fishing Gear: Lubricates and protects reels, rods, screws, bearings, drag washers, and tackle boxes.

It’s non-toxic, safe on paint/plastics/electronics, and remains flexible/self-healing in harsh saltwater conditions. Boaters (especially in coastal areas) often apply it after rinsing gear for annual protection, similar to car undercoating against road salt.

We are excited to announce Joe Omundson is joining the team as Technician/Apprentice. Joe has a background in electrical engineering and recently worked in Washington as a technician building aluminum boats at ACI Boats & Gold Star Marine. Joe is a fast learner with an extremely acute attention to detail; we look forward to offering his skills and teaching him the ins and outs of marine mechanics!
