Big News for Islanders!

Our passport printer has arrived you can now get emergency passports right here in Charlottetown!

Promise made, promise kept. 🍁

Today, I was pleased to announce that a new passport printer is officially up and running at the Charlottetown Service Canada Centre — meaning Islanders can now access urgent and express passport services right here in PEI.

We’ve steadily improved passport services for Islanders over the past several years, and this is the cherry on top. Previously, passports requiring faster service had to be printed in Halifax. Now, they can be printed right here in Charlottetown, including urgent passports by the end of the next business day.

PEI now has the same level of passport service available in every other province in Canada.

This is something Islanders have been asking for, and I’m very pleased to see it delivered. Better service, closer to home.
