Extensive spider cracks. Boat is the perfect example why we do not do repairs with bondo!! While the repair looked good at first site, this unfortunately lasted about ten min into its first trip onto the water. This boat was originally a trade in at a boat dealer in southern Alberta. The previous owner had a accident but instead of going about the repairs in the honest way they chose to quickly trade it off on another and by the time the truth had showed its ugly side it was too late. He other sad part I find is that the amount of t of work that went into this repair was horrendous!! As in the person that did this job in the first place could have taken a few extra hours and just done it properly. In the end I had the pleasure of making this boat once again a beauty on the water!!

Had a older Lund come in where the customer wanted a re power. Sources a 2019 Merc to replace his 72 Chrysler 70 hp. Re enforced the transom mount with a heavier aluminum plate to mount the Merc after removal of the Chrysler outboard. Once installed. The controls and cables were swapped with new and everything neatly tied back. Tested the movement of everything and hooked the hose up to test the engine running. Was super happy to have some videos sent back by the customer of her maiden voyage. Enjoy thanks.

Some before and after gel coat restoration on a beautiful example of a ski brendella. Love how this gel comes back to shine much like the day she was new. Of course there was lots of work to go into gettin her to look as good as new again but just wanted to show how well that can be on the bow of this particular boat.

Some progress photos of the last month of work every day !! Rebuild chine on port side , rebuild the keel where the tracking fins mount. Straightened three tracking fins as well as the strut! The prop can not be helped but it made the wall of fame. Just faring out the strut mount repairs on the hull. Then spray white gel and black gel. Very happy with how the blue turned out ! More photos to come. Stay tuned.

Not sure but I don’t think I have ever posted about my Frankenstein project , aka the Boatercycle! This is at this point been four years since I started this. Still doesn’t look like much but I’m finally ready to start actually testing this thing. Many online say it can’t be done or that it just won’t work and to be honest I don’t see why it would t but we are going to end out to settle this argument once and for all. So the next person that try’s to tell me why it won’t work can have a good look at the true evidence. For all I know it might sink to the bottom. lol or it could be scary as all heck. Anyone know what this is ? If you can guess that is please leave a comment with your answer. I’ll tell you in my next post. ;)

Here’s a project I am now just rounding the corner towards the finish line. Heck of a lot of spider cracks thanks to what I suspect , the boat may have come off its mooring and was found crashing against the rocks. Or it was hit by a truck while on the trailer lol. Either way. Making it right so it can safely be enjoyed once again on the water. I will post the complete pictures in a few days. Then up next just might be another with yet again a dramatic story as to how she too got damaged. Anyone ever have a boat come off there trailer? I have never not even seen one until today. Pics to come. Maybe! lol

There’s something to be said about a tandem axle trailer. Was taking the boat home for the season and at the time was also going home empty handed with hunting season almost over. I had set all my tire pressures and was loaded up for home. I made it to the Winfield turn off and heard a noise as I was coming to a stop. I got out of the truck to inspect only to find I was missing a tire completely. The trailer didn’t give me any sign what so ever that this had happened till I was coming to a stop and the rim made a few ting ting sounds. Needless to say I took it back to the lake and parked her. The next day I decided one more day to hunt then home and wouldn’t you know it that’s when I got my buck. So in the end everything happens for a reason. So glad my trailer was not single axle.
