Wanted: Reliable driver with at least a class 4 license and ideally a HRM taxi/limo license or willing to work towards it. This has to be someone who has a smart phone, with data, who has a customer service personality and a work ethic that when things go sideways, gets it done.
The ideal applicant:
Has a class 4 driver's license or better, OR, is willing to go out and get one (we can help).
Is willing to get your HRM limo license after you have your class 4.
Is a safe driver with a clean drivers abstract (we can discuss any "dirt" and whether it is a deal-breaker or not).
Has an iPhone or other very reliable smartphone, which you need to access the cloud based schedule.
Is extremely reliable, punctual and honest.
Is a team player and is thoughtful and considerate enough to clean a vehicle when it is dirty and fuel up the vehicle for the next driver.
Can work under pressure.
Is an independent problem solver.
Understands customer service and knows how to smile at 5 am.
Is able to adjust their sleep schedule to work when needed (our shifts typically go from 3 am - 11 am, 11 am - 7 pm and 7 pm - 3 am or whatever works for you). Typically you choose your own shifts to work with your schedule. We rely on teamwork for everyone to work together to make sure all shifts are covered.
You can commit to being available to work in early September, before and after Thanksgiving, Remembrance Day weekend, from December 1 to 21, from January 2 to 10, before and after Spring Break, the whole month of April. However, there is work every day of the year.
Able to lift a 50 pound piece of luggage with ease
This position is not for you if:
You drink or party often.
You leave Halifax for every single student rush period, as outlined above.
You have a sleeping disorder.
