Steady Eddy Moving & Delivery is hiring!

We are looking for enthusiastic, outgoing & responsible individuals to join our team!

We offer flexible work schedules, opportunities for advancement, a friendly team environment and of course lots of fun!

Main duties to start
- Wrap client’s belongings properly with blankets, tape & shrink wrap.
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Safely and carefully load and unload trucks, ensuring all items are properly secured.
- Constant clear communication with the client and team members.
- Work with basic tools when assembling & disassembling client’s furniture.

Employment requirements
- Must be capable of physical, manual labour.
- Must be punctual & reliable.
- Must be a self-starter and have a positive attitude.
- Must be a team player and work well with others.
- Available to work long shifts.
- A means of transportation.
- Clean driver’s abstract.

Wage
- Starting at $21/hour plus tips for entry level movers. Opportunities for advancement with experience & upon proving work ethic.

“My husband and I were referred to Steady Eddy moving through a family member who used their services and had a great experience. We reached out to them for a quote and received a prompt response right away with a great quote! This quote included a detailed breakdown of the services as well as offered us the option the purchase moving supplies. Every interaction with Steady Eddy Moving was professional, informative and efficient. They provided the option to drop off moving supplies such as large tote bins, labels, packing paper and wardrobe boxes in advance of moving day and also picked up these items upon completion of moving/unpacking. This made the packing/unpacking process very easy for us and also made the move go quite quickly as well.

We had the pleasure of "working" along side Eddy himself and his colleague Joe. Being 9 months pregnant, I was anxious about moving day but when it came, both Eddy and Joe completely put my mind at ease as they were very careful with all our belongings and such a pleasure to be around. They checked in with us throughout the move to ensure that boxes and items were placed in convenient locations for us and helped out with any small requests we had. They also gave us a sweet housewarming gift of a homemade cookie jar recipe before they left which was just the cherry on top!

We are currently expanding our team and looking for enthusiastic, hard working individuals that enjoy physical work. We specialize in residential moving services in the Lower Mainland area and also offer white glove delivery services.

Part-time and full-time positions available for professional movers and drivers. Opportunity for promotion within the company upon proving work ethic and skills.

Qualifications Required for the Position:
-Personable and excellent customer service skills.
-Current & Valid B.C. Drivers License and clean drivers abstract.
-Must be physically fit and able to climb in and out of trucks and lift 50-70lbs.
-Must be flexible and able to occasionally work overtime and weekends.
-Must be reliable and punctual.

We stepped up our game yesterday and did our first commercial move! With a lot of heavy file cabinets, large desks and computers to move and many stairs to conquer, it was a big day for the SE team. The team worked really hard & it was fun, challenging and rewarding! We are grateful for the opportunity to work with Layton Consulting.
