I think time is the only truly non-renewable asset we own. That reality should dictate how we plan life, perhaps the next five years and especially if you're retired or approaching retirement.

Build a bucket-list of items you absolutely want to do. Not a list of “oh this would be nice to do, but it’s fine if it doesn’t happen”. No. Be truly intentional about it.

Organize this list in what’s most important to “least” important (I use least very loosely). Build a plan to do those top 5 or top 3. Plan to check off items as you go along through life.

But life is also one big balancing act. Don’t put yourself into debt to do them. Plan for them. Prepare for them.

Make the effort to do them while still maintaining the mindset of “ok, we need to keep in mind we won’t be working after 65 or whatever age and we need to be mindful that we need money for that”.
