Something happens at the end of a BTS show that nobody warns you about.

When they finish performing Into the Sun, the lightstick locks into whatever colour it’s on and just stays lit. No countdown, no fade out. It just holds.

There’s a specific feeling that hits right when you walk under the train station and Main Street opens up in front of you. Doesn’t matter how many times I’ve done it, it gets me every time.

That first glimpse down Main Street toward the castle. The music. The smell of popcorn already in the air. You haven’t even done anything yet and you’re already smiling.

I think that’s what people are really paying for when they book a Disney trip. Not just the rides. That exact moment.

Every cruise starts the same way for me. Step onto the veranda, watch Vancouver get smaller, and just breathe for a second before the trip actually begins. 🌊

There’s something about that first hour on the balcony that resets everything. No plans yet, no schedule, just the skyline and the water.

If you’ve ever had that same moment on a ship, you know exactly what I mean.

Virgin Voyages doesn’t do kids’ clubs, not on Scarlet Lady, not on any ship in their fleet.

It’s adults-only across the board. No formal night, no cruise directors telling you where to be. Scarlet Lady feels more like a boutique hotel that happens to float, and the rest of the fleet holds the same vibe.

I recommend this one constantly to couples who tried a family cruise once and knew immediately it wasn’t what they wanted next time.

Save this for when you’re planning a trip without the kids.

I get this question a lot from families with a big age gap between kids. How do you plan a Disneyland day when one kid wants the Incredicoaster and the other one is still working on walking in a straight line.

Pixar Pier actually solves this better than almost anywhere else in the park. The Incredicoaster gives the thrill seekers their loop. Jessie's Critter Carousel sits right next to it with no height requirement, so the littles get their own ride in the same footprint. Nobody's standing off to the side waiting.

I always walk families through which rides fit which kid before we land in the park, so nobody's negotiating in line while everyone else waits. Small thing, but it changes the whole day.

Oh, and get the Jack Jack cookie. Just trust me on that one. 🍪
