Lulu and her four babies 🐻

At the beginning of August, we had the chance to spend two full days in Haines, Alaska. At this time of the year, the salmon are going up the river, so it is really easy to see bears. The first family of bears we met was a mom named Lulu, and her four 2 year old cubs. 🍀

We saw them twice, and that was amazing. It was so funny to see the little one begging for fish at their mom and playing around this table. 🤩

We met two other families. The pictures are coming soon. 😉

🥾 Chilkoot trail Canadian side ⛰️

What an incredible adventure in the Chilkook pass. As it's not possible to do the full trail from Skagway (US) to Bennet lake (Canada), We had to go from Fraser and find our own way through the pass to join the Chillkook trail on the other side of the mountain. 👌

We started with a lot of clouds, but step by step the view started to be clear. When we arrived on the other side, we had a beautiful view of Crater lake and a glacier. 🤩

Then, we followed the old trail that thousands of people took during the gold rush, hiking on the side of beautiful lakes surrounded by majestic moutains. 🏔️

The landscapes around us were just amazing! It's hard to describe, so we let you enjoy the pictures we took along the way. 😊

Hiking on Nares mountain ⛰️

A few weeks ago, we went hiking on Nares Mountain. There were beautiful flowers everywhere, and the view from the top was amazing ! 😍

And for a bit more challenges, we took the second ridge on the way down. That was super fun! 👌😁

We loved it so much that this hike is in our favourite hikes in the Yukon. 🥾🫶

Another winter done with Tagish Lake Kennel 🐺💪

Thanks to Michelle and Ed for everything they taught us and for all the opportunities they offered to us 🤩

Few highlights of the season:

☑️ 20 consecutive days between -35°C and -45°C 🥶
☑️ Snow, snow, snow -> grooming and shoveling hard 😅
☑️ First 100 and 200 miles sleddogs race for Yann 🏁
☑️ Broken water heater in December -> no more warm water 😢
☑️ Very close meeting with a moose for Sara 😱
☑️ A lot of happy customers guided in wonderful landscapes
☑️ More love, hilarious moments and good time that you can imagine with doggies 🐺🥰

Our adventure in the Yukon is not over yet. We'll stay with Michelle, Ed and their dogs for our last summer here, before going back to Finland 🇨🇦 🇫🇮 ❤️
