We are proud to recognize Jason Jessup as our April 2026 Driver of the Month for his dedication, professionalism, and positive attitude as part of the Trappers team!
Jason has been with Trappers for almost 2 years and has quickly become a valued member of the team. When it comes to his favorite stops on the road, Medicine Hat, AB and Kamloops, BC stand out the most.
Jason enjoys the good facilities, showers at those locations, and appreciates how efficiently he can run his trips — often reaching Medicine Hat from Winnipeg in one drive, and then running between Kamloops and Delta efficiently as well.
What Jason enjoys most about being a professional driver is the peace and quiet of the open road. He enjoys long-distance driving and the freedom that comes with life on the highway. While winter driving can be challenging, Jason especially enjoys trucking during the summer months when he can fully appreciate the experience of being on the road.
When asked what sets Trappers apart from other companies, Jason highlighted the people and the support from dispatch. He appreciates the friendly atmosphere throughout the company and spoke highly of the equipment, especially the company’s yellow trucks and how well they are maintained. The attention given to keeping equipment in good condition has made a strong impression on him.
Jason also recommends Trappers to others interested in a driving career. He says the company is good to deal with, offers strong miles and competitive pay rates, stays organized, pays on time, and has great people throughout the operation. According to Jason, those qualities make Trappers a great place for drivers looking for stability and support.
As feedback for the team, Jason encourages drivers to report and drop defective trailers or equipment for repairs right away, rather than passing the issue along to the next driver. He believes staying proactive with equipment repairs helps everyone and keeps operations running smoothly.
