Last day! My travelling companions left on day 5 so I had one solo day and I decided to go hard. Hit all 4 parks with a bonus stop in Epcot. Did a ride and show in each and got a PhotoPass shot! In total, I saw 6 shows and 10 rides; visited 4 kitchens and 3 quick service places; rode 3 buses, 2 monorails and 5 Skyliner gondolas; and walked 30,866 steps! I also bought souvenirs for my family and got rained on!

Shockingly, Day 4 had rain during BOTH our chances to golf so it was another park day (shucks!).

Magic Kingdom finally. We did 11 attractions by 3:30 then hit the Tambu Lounge for the amazing potstickers and noodles. Quick stop at the resort to dry off and clean up and back to the Polynesian for Trader Sam’s. During dinner at California Grill, we watched Happily Ever After. Amazing view!

We even got a chance to visit with Merida who said I was her favourite!

So, the one thing you NEED to do on a golf trip is GOLF! Weather delays Friday and Saturday were disappointing but we had hope. We were able to pay, get our rental clubs and carts! We even hit some range balls! But, while buying some beverages for our round, Thor decided to crush our dreams! We were 10 minutes away from teeing off before they shut it down. We kept the hope alive for 3 HOURS! No go! 0 for 3..really bad golf trip but we still did Guardians (got September!) and Test Track and visited Geo 82 and some kitchens, so it wasn’t a complete loss. Luckily, I know when to zag and can help others! Here are some pics from today!

The rainbow picture is from the golf course. It never rained but too much lightning in the vicinity to let us play. C’mon Thor!

Full day today! Started at Hollywood Studios with the Tower of Terror and ended the night at Epcot watching Luminous. Thor once again messed with our golf game but at least he did it early enough for us to pivot quickly! Even got some pool time! Here’s a few picks. I’ll do a larger trip recap when it’s over!

First full day! Started with breakfast at Tusker House, then did almost everything in Animal Kingdom before scrambling to make our tee time at Magnolia.

Unfortunately, Thor had other ideas and we had a massive lightning delay so we rescheduled for Sunday.

Pivoted and headed to Disney Springs for food and shopping then ended the night with the Muppets and Fantasmic! Fun was had!

It was a rough travel day thanks to the massive storms near Toronto, but after 25 hours straight in airports or on airplanes, I made it to Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort! After a short visit to Galaxy’s Edge, I ran into this guy having a Pajama Party!

I’ve been fortunate to travel a bit over the years and Walt Disney World is really one of my favourite spots. One of the reasons is that it is so flexible! Different resorts, restaurants, shops, attractions that allow lots of variety in travelling parties. In the past 18 years, my wife have gone with our children when they were 4 and 7 and when they were 13 and 16, 15 and 18, 18 and 21 AND 21 and 24! Plus my parents joined us a few times and Erin’s sister and her family and their mom made us a group of 12 one time.

We have also gone with my aunt and uncle and by ourselves once. However, the trip that starts today is different from them all! Erin and her sisters are in BC for a girls weekend so the three husbands are doing a WDW golf trip (parks, food and beverages as well of course)!

I am currently in the Orlando airport waiting for one of my travelling partners to arrive. I’m sitting in a rocking chair looking at this fountain! Pretty nice for an airport!

Hopefully all of you know that I am a travel agent with Timeless Tales Travel (if you didn’t know before, now you do!). I was out with my son today and he asked how I was enjoying it. I told him how much I love helping people plan their dream (and regular!) vacations.

I used to wonder why people used travel agents when they can just book on their own. What I never knew or thought about is the inside scoop TAs have and the time and energy that they are willing to spend to do the research for their clients!
