ESC SIUS Course: High demand for quality
The ESC SIUS Technicians Course has officially begun in Tallinn, Estonia. Due to overwhelming demand, the ESC expanded the participant capacity beyond the initial limit to accommodate more applicants while maintaining a high-quality, hands-on learning environment.
The intensive schedule features two days of deep-dive theoretical training followed by a full day of practical, on-site work at the shooting range. Under the guidance of Lead SIUS Expert Philippe Rüesch (SUI), participants are mastering system configuration, operation, and technical maintenance.
"A series of courses like this is a necessary step," said lead instructor Philippe Rüesch. "As electronic target systems become standard, having properly trained operators is essential for maintaining consistent competition standards across Europe."
"The current group of participants is solid," Rüesch added. "We expect the need for these technical specialists to grow as federations update their facilities."
The participants were warmly welcomed by ESC Sport Director Elena Allen, who highlighted the importance of continuous technical education for the future of shooting sports. The course will equip member federations with certified specialists ready to maintain top competition standards across Europe.
