✈️ Vietnam Airlines officially launches direct flights between Ho Chi Minh City and Phuket

📍 Starting 02 July 2026, the route will operate 4 round-trip flights weekly on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays aboard Airbus A321 aircraft, raising the total number of flights between Vietnam and Thailand to 67 per week.

🤝Vietnam Airlines also signed strategic cooperation agreements with key tourism and aviation partners in Thailand, including the Tourism Authority of Thailand, Airports of Thailand, the Association of Thai Travel Agents, and Saigontourist Group. The partnerships aim to enhance travel experiences, expand tourism opportunities, and further strengthen connectivity and cooperation between Vietnam and Thailand.

✈️ Check your entry requirements before your international flight

Starting from May 20, Vietnam Airlines introduces an automated entry requirement verification system for international itineraries, helping passengers prepare their travel documents and enjoy a more convenient check-in experience.

The system is integrated across airport check-in counters, kiosks, website and mobile app for itineraries that include at least one international flight departing from airports using the Amadeus CM system. Based on nationality, travel itinerary, visa and related documents, the system helps determine entry requirements before departure. 🌍

Passengers are encouraged to check entry requirements in advance at https://vietnamairlines.traveldoc.aero/ and complete online check-in before departure for a smoother and faster journey. 💙

As part of the ATWG53 in Hanoi, Vietnam Airlines successfully chaired and hosted the 49th ASEAN Airlines Meeting (AAM49) on the April 28-29.

The event welcomed 200+ delegates from 23 airlines and leading international organizations such as International Air Transport Association, Association of Asia Pacific Airlines, and European Union Aviation Safety Agency - highlighting Vietnam’s growing leadership and proactive role in regional aviation.

🤝 Discussions focused on practical solutions to strengthen resilience and accelerate sustainable growth across the ASEAN aviation sector.

✨ A highlight of the event, the “Lotus Night” Gala, brought Vietnamese culture to life through elegant áo dài performances, traditional tò he crafting, and conical hat painting - creating meaningful connections across the ASEAN aviation community.

Starting from April 15, 2026, all foreign nationals and overseas Vietnamese entering Vietnam through Tan Son Nhat International Airport via a visa are required to complete a digital arrival card. This measure is designed to streamline entry procedures and enhance the overall arrival experience.
