We have fantastic news - Nausikaa is in the water! 💦
A rare and elegant 1956 Rohn Nausikaa, this 10.5-meter mahogany motorboat is a true collector’s item representing the finest European boatbuilding craftsmanship of the 1950s. Its flowing lines and timeless design offer both style and performance on the water.

As we celebrate this special season, we wish you fair winds, smooth sailing, and many memorable moments with family and friends.

Here is a fun summertime gallery featuring some of our projects outside the workshop:

2nd photo: Colette - our restoration work on a Shepherd.

3rd photo: Carry - built in 1949 and now sailing under the flag of the Estonian Maritime Museum. The final finishing of the outer hull was completed by us in 2022.

4th photo: Dagö 17 - a lightweight and easily manageable wooden sailboat designed for sailing in protected inshore waters, bays, lakes, and rivers, in winds up to Force 4 and wave heights of up to 0.3 m. Built entirely from scratch by us.

5th photo: Angel-Rose (also known as Söderkvist 24, built between 1958 and 1968), which we restored a few years ago, out enjoying the sea once again.

⚓️Finished and ready for visitors!🛟
A little while ago, we shared that a brand-new rescue boat destined for the Maritime Museum had arrived at our workshop for final finishing work. Today, we’re pleased to show the completed result.

The rescue boat has now been installed aboard Suur Tõll - one of Estonia’s most iconic historic ships and a popular attraction at the Maritime Museum. It has been a pleasure to be part of this project, and we’re delighted to see the vessel in its new home, ready to be discovered by visitors.

🐳A future exhibit for the Maritime Museum has arrived at our workshop for final finishing work – the brand-new rescue boat of Suur Tõll.

We are proud to be involved in the final stage of this project, ensuring the boat receives a high-quality finish before becoming part of the museum exhibition. Stay tuned for a closer look at the process and the finished result.

Meie oleme juba eelmisest aastast tuttava Helmiga messiks valmis! Helmi ehk Kräkö on ühe hooaja juba oma elu elanud ja Tartut nautinud, tule uudistama!

Kråkö, väike saar Porvoo lähedal Soomes, on tuntud oma pikaajalise paadiehitus traditsiooni poolest, mis ulatub 19. sajandi lõppu ja 20. sajandi algusesse. Saarest sai oluline puidust paatide valmistamise keskus, kus osavad käsitöölised ehitasid kvaliteetseid paate kalapüügi-, transpordi- ja vaba aja veetmise eesmärgil.

Kui 20. sajandi alguses muutusid mootorpaadid üha populaarsemaks, kohandasid Kråkö paadiehitajad oma käsitööoskusi mootorpaadide valmistamiseks. Need paadid olid sageli kohalike kalurite ja meretegevuse ettevõtete poolt kasutusele võetud. Paljusid paate iseloomustas kitsas ja p**k kere, et tagada kiirus ja stabiilsus.
1950-1960. aastatel kogus Kråkö paadiehituses hoogu, vaba aja paatide nõudlus kasvas. Saarte käsitöölised ehitasid eritellimusel paate, millest paljusid tunti oma kvaliteedi ja vastupidavuse poolest. Kråkö paadiehitajad said Soomes väga hea maine ning nende ehitatud laevad meelitavad entusiaste ja kollektsionääre üle maailma.

Meil oli hea meel 2024-2025 aastal Helmi restaureerida taas oma hiigelaega, väikeste modernsete lisadega.
