Egypt’s tourism sector recorded strong growth in 2025, with Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly announcing that the country welcomed approximately 18.8 million tourists during the year, up from 15.75 million visitors in 2024. The figures were revealed during the Prime Minister’s weekly press conference.

Meanwhile, Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Dr. Sherif Fathy stated that tourism revenues reached $18 billion in 2025, noting that the final statistics for tourist arrivals will be fully compiled and officially announced in January 2026.

Dr. Fathy also highlighted that Egypt’s top five source markets for tourism during the year were Russia, Germany, the United Kingdom, Saudi Arabia, along with other key contributing markets that continued to support the sector’s growth.
