New Discovery in Egypt
A tomb has been discovered on May 4th that dates back to 4,500 years in Egypt near the Giza pyramids. It contains a limestone statue of one of the owners' family with his wife and his son.
The tomb dates back to the 5th dynasty and officials hope it could help the country's efforts to revive the tourism industry.
There were also Several tombs and burials discovered in the cemetery. One of the oldest tombs holds the remains of two individuals named "Behnui-Ka" and "Nwi".

Today we spent the day visiting many of the ancient sites of Luxor with an excellent guide/Egyptologist, Mohamed from Tour guide Egyptologist

We visited The Valley of the Kings, Karnak, Hatshepsut’s Temple, and the Temple of Luxor. We also somehow managed to squeeze in a bit of shopping at a little factory that makes stone figurines by hand.

No visit to Egypt is complete without a trip to this amazing small city full of historical wonders. It was also a welcome change of pace from the controlled chaos of Cairo!

Tomorrow we will finally visit the Giza Pyramids we’ve been starring at the past few nights over glasses of beer from our rooftop bar!
