The Canary Islands FAQ — answered by someone who actually lives here.
If you're planning a trip to the Canary Islands, these are some of the questions I hear most often.
Which island should you visit?
When is the best time to go?
Do you need a rental car?
Is island hopping worth it?
How do you find a genuinely good restaurant?
And where should you actually stay?
The problem is that most travel guides answer these questions with a generic list.
I don't think travel planning works that way.
The best Canary Island depends on how you travel, what you enjoy and what you want your trip to feel like.
Seven days? You probably don't need three islands.
Fourteen days? You might.
Want beaches? Volcanoes? Food? Hiking? Slow travel? Boutique hotels? A little bit of everything?
The answer changes.
That's why I don't start with the island.
I start with you.
