Sotavento Beach, located in the southern part of Fuerteventura, on the Jandia Peninsula, is one of the longest beaches on the island, approx 9 km long. It’s situated between Costa Calma and Morro Jable and includes 5 beaches: La Barca, Risco del Paso, Mirador Malnombre and Los Canarios.
On selected days, a large and shallow lagoon appears here, which is perfect for beginners windsurfers and kitesurfers who often visit this place. There is also a water sports school nearby and sport equipment rental, so you can go without anything and rent everything there. There is also a lot of space for people who like peace and silence: the beach is up to 1 km wide.

Las Grietas is the rock formation, which looks like the canyon and was formed by the movement and crack of the volcanic plates of Montaña Blanca, and this place is one of the less-visited geological structures on Lanzarote.
Las Grietas is a relatively hidden gem when it comes to photo spots on the island. It’s not visible from the roadside and when I’ve arrived at the car park, I wasn’t sure I’m at the right place. There are no signs, which indicate that you’re here, so follow your navigation, park the car, be careful crossing the road and enjoy the view🌋🌋

Masca Valley. I've been there once, I've already written about this place. And I won't repeat myself: it's just fantastic😍. Last time I’ve completed the trail entirely: to the beach and back. With a brave team 💪🦾. I highly recommend it, it’s an amazing experience 🌋🌋

One of the best places in the eastern part of Gran Canaria is Telde Coast with its numerous rocky bays and beaches with black volcanic sand. In almost 10 km coastline there are La Garita, Melenara, Salinetas, Ojos de Garza and Tufia beaches. All of them are very popular due to the weather conditions and infrastructure, including beautiful promenades, nevertheless, they retain a lot of authenticity, especially noticeable in the low season: the beaches are empty or almost empty, and this is the best time to enjoy the amazing views of volcanic rocks and phenomenal waves 🌊🌊

In the rocky and wild cliffs of the western Gran Canaria, several hundred metres above the ocean beachfront, has been carved the road GC-200 – one of the most exciting drives on the Canary Islands and worldwide.
But its best section (between the Mirador del Balcon and Andén Verde) has been closed since 2016 in a case of major rock falls. Local authorities have declared that there is no reason to clean the latest rockfall as the road is bound to be blocked again and the safety nets cannot protect the road from falling rocks, but the other sections of GC-200 are still accessible and worth visiting. Drivers can still access the viewpoint at the southern end of Anden Verde in La Aldea, and can still drive as far as El Risco village🏎️🏎️

La Graciosa: a brillant gem of Canary Islands: calm and peaceful, without asphalt, concretes, crowds of tourists or pollution, with pure nature, paradise beaches, with desert, but colorful volcanic landscapes, almost without people.
It’s located 2 km north from Lanzarote and with four uninhabited islands to the north, it forms the Chinijo Archipelago, which has been declared as protected nature reserve.
The island can be reached easily, without booking in advance by ferry from the town Órzola on Lanzarote. And you can discover the island by foot, bike or 4x4 taxi. Since it’s a protected area, the roads are unpaved and the car traffic is limited. Therefore, I recommend hiking for mountain lovers, or a bike for beach lovers, which you can easily rent in the port of Caleta de Sebo🌊🌊
