have you ever seen someone from your past posting their achievements, dream life, or success online and felt a little jealous?
it happens. we’re human.
but here’s something i’ve learned: social media only shows a tiny part of reality. you never truly know what’s happening behind the photos, the smiles, or the success stories.
and more importantly, every minute spent comparing yourself to someone else is a minute you’re not investing in your own growth.
the truth is, it doesn’t matter who is doing better than you.
what matters is whether you’re doing better than you were yesterday.
2 years ago, i was struggling with severe anxiety and depression. there were days when leaving the house felt overwhelming. i constantly felt unsafe, exhausted, and stuck. i cried several times a week and genuinely believed my life would never get better.
today, i go to the gym. i walk my dog 4 times a day. i have more energy, more peace, and more gratitude for life. i’m not saying everything is perfect, but i’m no longer the person i was back then.
and that’s what counts.
not someone else’s career.
not someone else’s relationship.
not someone else’s followers.
not someone else’s highlights.
growth isn’t about being ahead of others.
