So we have made it out of Russia, but are still on the road on the way home to the UK.

After getting out of Russia barely on time, we realised that (after blowing one) our tires and alignment were both is dire need of attention. We spent the day in Lappeenranta at the Vianor garage getting 4 new tires and having our tracking fixed. It turns out that some things were bent far worse than we thought, but they managed to get the tires pointing mostly in the same direction. The speed wobbles are gone, and the steering wheel no longer pulls to the right, so now making it back home will be a cake-walk.

A big thanks to the Vianor guys for squeezing us in on such short notice, and for doing such stellar work. I hope that next time I need new tires I happen to be in Finland again!

So we are in Lappeenranta Finland after blitzing across Russia, our car is a little sick and it's booked in for 1300 today for tracking and 4 new tyres, bring back the Mongolian prices Europe is expensive.
Should be getting the ferry from Turku to Stockholm tomorrow morning assuming our wonky wheels are due to simple alignment issues rather than something worse.

This post is a few days late, but we made it! After 53 days of desserts, mountain, border crossings and melons, me made the finish line! We have had such a blast we almost don't want it to end!

A big thanks to all our friends and family and supporters for making this crazy adventure a reality. Can't wait to spend some time sorting through the countless photos and hours of video so you can all see a little more of the trip.

Tony and Anton are already well on their way back to the UK, and Manthy has flown back earlier today. Here's hoping our beds are still where we left them, we are certainly looking forward to them.

The boat crossing from Baku to Turkmenbashi was something else. It was hours of paperwork and bureaucracy to get onto the boat, and then a day and a half of scowls from the captain and mouldy bread from the kitchen. We still managed to make the best of it though.

So after our new friends Charlie and Adam left to go back to London, we carried on towards Azerbaijan. With Let's Get Lost now at half their strength, we went hunting for somewhere to camp.

We found a very extravagant lake resort, they were conveniently fully booked. We instead stayed in the Lagodekhi national park, and went for a lengthy hike to a waterfall the next day.

Georgia! What an incredible country. We met another team at the border and decided to convoy, forming the Let's Get Lost In Transit Convoy. We spent our first night camping out in the mountains, and then made haste to Tiblisi to sort out our Visas for Azerbaijan.

Hey everyone, sorry for the long delay! The great nation of Turkmenistan maintains a great firewall, and coupled with the Caspian sea crossing, we were out of touch for quite a few days.

A big shout out to our friend Busra for her hospitality while were were in Turkey, we forgot to include these in the previous Turkey post.

Now that we are in the far more reasonable Kazakhstan, you can expect more regular updates, there is lots to catch you up on.
